I’ve been keeping you abreast of all the Obama administration’s Project Gunrunner stonewalling since March (links/chronology below). Today, vigilant GOP House Oversight and Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa is holding another hearing to pressure Team Obama for the whole truth. On Monday, Issa and GOP watchdogs spotlighted DOJ obstructionism (Sipsey Street Irregulars has a rundown here.)
More fit is hitting the shan. And in one of those rare confluences, other MSM outlets have joined CBS News in exposing the story.
First, new documents. Just in from Issa’s office:
Moments ago in his opening statement at today’s hearing, Operation Fast and Furious: Reckless Decisions, Tragic Outcomes, Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) released three e-mails detailing the intimate involvement of ATF Acting Director Kenneth Melson and Acting Deputy Director Bill Hoover in Operation Fast and Furious:
* The first e-mail from March 10, 2010, to Operation Fast and Furious Group VII Leader David Voth indicates that the two most senior leaders in ATF, Acting Director Kenneth Melson, and Deputy Director Billy Hoover, were “being briefed weekly on” Operation Fast and Furious. The document shows that both Melson and Hoover were “keenly interested in case updates.” * A second e-mail from March 12, 2010, shows that Deputy Assistant Director for Field Operations William McMahon was so excited about Fast and Furious that he received a special briefing on the program in Phoenix – scheduled for a mere 45 minutes after his plane landed.

Never forget: The heart of this scandal is the apparent criminal conspiracy to fabricate crime-scene evidence in order to politically justify infringing the Constitutional rights of Americans, by using “US-sourced” Mexican crime scene guns to justify restrictions on Americans buying rifles.

If you pay close enough attention, these subversive morons will always tell you what they’re going to do ahead of time through their breathless idiot lackies in the media.
I remember MONTHS ago hearing the talking points vis-a-vis Mexican drug dealers and “American guns from gun shops”.
We’re damned lucky that either:
a): There may STILL be some Patriots left within that lousy ATF gestapo thug organization.
or
b): They’re such incompetent moronic thugs that it was only a matter of time until it got exposed.
I’m hoping it’s option a, but I’m not holding my breath.
The real hope here is that Issa and like-minded American Patriots have the balls to thoroughly go after these criminal traitors, prosecute them, and put them in Leavenworth.
Knowing how the system works now, I don’t have much faith in it happening.
I hope I’m wrong.
And the really IMPORTANT POINT is this coverup is right out of the Community Organizer's back pocket.

Thx Nachum. Justice can be served when there is truth. This must be the ‘under the radar’ gun control O discussed with Sarah Brady. Only wish the msm would put some sirens on this investigation. Either way, Holder may learn the true meaning of justice first hand.

I agree 100%! From the get-go this was a false-flag operation to create a political environment where the Marxists in the White House could gut the 2nd Amendment. Has anyone on FR created a timeline of public statements from Hildabeast (Hillary Clinton), Eric “Black Panther” Holder, and other senior administration officials about the need to control guns in America against what was going on with the ATF and Project Gunrunner?
