The best part is that i like Sarah a ton and is she jumps in she is probably my first choice. My perfect ticket would be Palin / Bachmann. or Palin / West.

Its the shock troops that derail every thread that get beyond annoying.

Three years of PDS has taken its toll on you.

PDS??? What does Palin have to do with any of this other that the pic I used to discredit the infamous Bachmann/Mittens campaign one in '08.

I am defending a solid Conservative here. Bachmann. Can you cite where I slammed Palin anywhere at FR? I am just tired of the Palin supporters rolling in to threads with odd assertions about some of the best right wing activists we have. Cain, Bachmann and Santorum have been in the trenches helping our side for a long time, yet when they are running for POTUS, they are Rove plants, unexperienced Rubes or wimpy Progressives. I don't see them less Conservative than Palin. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Maybe RINOs should be called SPINOs instead.

“Either you’re with Sarah Palin or you’re a dirty SPINO!”

Well said. APPLAUSE

If it would have been Palin that already announced and debated and did well I would not ever call her a RINO or that she was trying to stop a tea party candidate get the nomination. It has gotten Palin cultish and yes they can even if she didn’t runnish and she was there first mentality that makes me think I am reading at DU. Whose side are they on?

I support Palin, but some of the Palin supporters sound like Ron Paul supporters. You know, if you don’t support their candidate, you must be some kind of idiot, dupe, RINO, etc.

"Rasmussen Reports conducted the first poll of likely Republican primary voters after the New Hampshire GOP debate laR week."

I thought that her speech at the "Right Online" gathering was even more impressive than her performance in the New Hampshire debate: http://www.mofopolitics.com/2011/06/18/michele-bachmann-right-online-2011-speech/ She appears to be gaining in momentum.

I’m okay with either Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin (or DeMint or Cain) as a candidate. I think Sarah would be a stronger candidate because she has already been thoroughly vetted and we all know there are no surprises with Sarah, and that Sarah would be a better president based on her executive experience, but either would be much better than Mitt Obama or Barack Romney, not that there is a dime’s worth of difference between those two libs.

Yes.

I simply couldn’t handle the turn the movement, and Ron Paul, made towards radical libertarianism. Not just everyday libertarianism that is really a form of conservatism, but radical libertarian nonsense of the likes of lewrockwell.com. Of course, I should have realized it was going there when I found out Lew Rockwell was vice-chair or Ron Paul’s campaign in ‘08.

"Palin backed carbon caps on emissions.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZQNVDgImB4"

The clip is cut short a little. Right after saying "I do, I do", she said this:

"PALIN: I was the first governor to form a climate change sub-cabinet to start dealing with the impacts. We’ve got to reduce emissions. John McCain is right there with an “all of the above” approach to deal with climate change impacts. As we rely more on other countries that don’t care as much about the climate as we do, we’re allowing them to produce and to emit and even pollute more than America would ever stand for. It’s all the more reason that we have an “all of the above” approach, tapping into alternative sources of energy and conserving fuel, conserving our petroleum products and our hydrocarbons so that we can clean up this planet.

If the problem with other countries is that "we’re allowing them to produce and to emit and even pollute more than America would ever stand for", the implied solution is that there should be some authority that would not allow them to do so. Couple this with her support for LOST and I have serious questions about whether she understands the fundamental concerns associated with National Sovereignty.

It has gotten Palin cultish and yes they can even if she didn’t runnish and she was there first mentality that makes me think I am reading at DU. Whose side are they on?

They've become a really weird cult. They worship the woman and if Palin isn't your personal goddess you're a rino, liberal troll and they're gonna tell JimRob on you. All they care about is Palin getting the nomination...not supporting the most conservative candidate who has a real chance to beat obama. Just nominate the goddess! I, for one am sick and tired of it.

When they start calling solid and responsible conservatives who have been toiling in the trenches for years Rinos and worse...like they have Palin and Ryan and DeMint and others...you know it gotten pretty bad.

The author seems to have missed the fact that Bachmann was being beaten up by the National MSM media (the same media that now loves her) not that long ago.

At one point the author cautions that Ras polling with Palin out may have given a misleading read on things. Reminds us that we all had known for quite some time that she was getting in the race, and only was around 4%. We are talking GOP primary voters that are quite well informed.

So the writer ends the article by saying it was a great week for her and the Ras poll helps her.

Sure it helps her if you are assuming that GOP primary voters are going to be swayed by push polling by Rep establishment backed Rasmussen polling...not to mention the LSM polling that will surely show MB in first/second place.

I am unsure if endorsements from Chris Matthews, NY Times, Rachel Maddow etc, combined with MSM polls that will be released this week showing MB on top, will sway GOP primary voters?

I hope it does not, but am not confident they do not buy into it. I know quite a few FR folks have bought into it hook line and sinker
