I know. Personally, I think gay marriage is inevitable. I rarely meet anyone under the age of 30 who even believes it’s a legitimate issue. There is a massive generation gap on this one. When the issue comes up, my kids tell me that I’m homophobic in almost exactly the same voice I told my parents they were racist.

For the kids today a person’s sexuality is around as important as eye color.

You should teach your kids the the meaning of the word phobic unless you truly do fear homosexuals and you probably should explain how racism is analagous to opposition to two men or two women "marrying". Or not.
