Right, there are no such things as hate crime laws in the U.S.
Oh, now, I have a good story about that!
My sister came to my house one day with the intention of causing a fight. She likes to sue people by insulting them. Afterwards she tries to frame someone for assault.
She intended on doing that with me. What she didn’t know was that a certain derogatory word referring to a woman’s genitals (begins with ‘c’ and ends with ‘t’) is equal under the hate laws in our state to the ‘N’ word.
She drove herself afterwards to the ER and the doctor there called the cops on me. Our lawyer informed my sister later by letter that we would counter charge her with assault under the hate crime law.
I, thankfully, have no criminal record because of that law.
Why is the law that way? Because it always starts fights and sometimes people get seriously hurt, even killed.
