i’m shocked. but not at the police.
i lost any naive attitudes i still had, when the Nevada Police murdered the West Point grad, at COSTCO, and when Dupnik’s SWAT team murdered that young Marine in AZ.

i am only shocked, at liberal style personal attacks, on someone who simply pointed out some legitimate possibilities, about a violent drunk with a previous history of resisting arrest.

sorry if i’m out of line here. but i thought on FR you could make an opinion, and speculate about mitigating information, without being viciously attacked and condemned.

I disagree with Dirtboy’s OPINION.
I agree with kartographer, maine-iac7, and others.
It’s true: “Some people just like to beat drunks.”
(especially since more police now, are just heartless liberals with Criminal Justice degrees, instead of ex-military.)

...but accusing Dirtboy of violent crimes (especially when it seems he tried to save someone from an armed drunk in reality), is beyond ridiculous to the point of slander.

” I think dirtboy is what we are seeing here is you trying to justify your own conscience over some beating or beatings that dished out in the past to some poor drunk slob. “

” Considering you attitude you might be better taking the fifth rather than discussing how you handled drunk morons in the past. “

” If I am not being clear, Dirtboy in my JUDGEMENT does not deserve the privilegde of posting. “

.
...as for the case itself, i’m sure there will be a lawsuit.
but i wonder why the money for lawsuits comes from Taxpayers like us???
... If a Cop is bad, sue him for every penny!!!
But the taxpayers shouldn’t be on the hook. Even the SCOTUS ruled that schools can’t be sued for sexual abuse by teachers, even if the school knew of previous incidents.

...maybe make cops and teachers carry personal insurance like Doctors.
but i’m simply tired of us paying double, for government mistakes.

Actually, I was trying to save the guy with the stick as much as the target. The target was a drunk a-hole who deliberately goaded the guy on to where he snapped, and the guy was drunk enough to fall for it and lose it. Not worth going to jail over but the guy lost it and the booze made him beyond reasoning with. Had I been 15 years younger I would have made more of a physical effort to stop him - for his own good - but he was almost as big as I was, a lot younger, and had that look in his eyes that said for me to get out of the way after trying to slow him down to think about what he was about to do.

Booze often makes people lose their reason. I'm big enough to have been an occasional bouncer in my youth. I hate dealing with violent and insane drunks, they are truly the worst.
