There might be an awakening, but there’s not a damned thing to thank 0bama for because most of of us won’t be alive by the time we recover from his time in office.

I pray you are right, Phil. I guess my biggest fear is that our votes may not matter this time. They’ll find a way to cheat us totally out of it no matter what. I also pray that won’t happen.

With nearly 50% on the dole, there will be no turn-around.

This will be a crash and burn.

Obama is putting this in overdrive.

I want to spit every time I hear his name.

Republicans hope people are smart while Democrats know people are stupid.

The proof of that statement is residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue as we speak.

I have friends, small business owners who, up until the “non-stimulating” stimulus bill claimed that they were “100% middle of the road” (partly because the “conservative brand” is so castigated by the modern media) but who now openly admit that Dumb0 is a disaster.

They will vote straight “R” in 2012.

Dumb0 has ruined the “democrat” brand for decades to come, as democrat insiders are finally beginning to realize.

Dumb0 will find an excuse not to run in 2012. And political hacks who will lie, cheat and steal to become Pres will think twice before trying to run under the Dimm banner.

I am thankful for President Obama. Because of him I think a good number of people now realize how dangerous and destructive Socialism is. Yeah there will always be the Obama true believers and there is nothing you can do for them. Then there are the partisan Democrats who will toe the party line no matter what. But a good number of Independent voters will never risk a far left candidate again. The next candidate to talk about “spreading the wealth” and “paying your fair share” will go down to defeat hard.

Obama also woke many Republicans. He helped give birth to the team party movement which in a short period of time has done a good progress of cleansing the RINO’s from the party and has made the good ol’ boys RNC obsolete.

Except those “50% on the dole” need someone to pay for it. And little by little, the people paying for it realize that they get nothing in return except demands for “more, more, more” from people who hate and despise them.

There is hope. Don’t despair!

Never be thankful for evil.

The “obama true believers” are either terrified little leftie white kids who think that voting “for the African-American guy” will keep them from getting mugged (look at an Electoral College map by county to see that lefties live in densely populated urban areas surrounded by the urban poor - they’re TERRIFIED of the urban poor and want to give them your wallet to keep from being mugged) or they are union/democrat thugs who want to take their money in return for making them feel morally superior.

Lefties would feed you to the alligators(or Muslims) if they thought that would buy them 5 more minutes of their pathetic little lives.

You can be thankful for evil if it finally opens your eyes to it.

Spend some time with members of AA. Many (most?) of them would not have come to their senses if they hadn’t reached rock bottom at some point.

Not all of us can see or appreciate God’s grace immediately. Some of us have to drink the evil dregs to the bottom of the cup before we can appreciate it.

That’s exactly right.

“Never be thankful for evil.’

Agree 100%.

Maybe we should bring someone much worse than Obama, say Chavez, or Qaddafi, then we could be even more thankful. (/sarc)

My dad in his late 80s,, says he refuses to die as long as that marxist SOB is in office. Can i count that as a reason?

The last election was a preview of 2012. People are awake and taking notice. Most voters would rather have a job than be on the dole, so I wouldn’t worry about the freeloaders swinging the election just yet.

Like you said in your post it is God’s Grace we should be thankful for, not evil. God’s Grace lets us see evil for what it is. Without it would we never see the evil. Evil cannot produce good in men, only God can produce good from evil.
