Walter Cronkite, tody, could in no way single-handedly derail the Vietnam War as he did back in 1968 with his lies about the Tet Offensive.
Fifty years ago the insufferable Mike Wallace was doing the long format interview, and there was nobody else -- so we watched him, Mom made incisive quiet comments, Dad yelled at the screen. Gotta love cable TV, the Internet, and Right Wing Media.
Just hope it didn't all come down too late...
