The era of civility was on full display during Friday night’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
In the midst of a conversation about Michele Bachmann and her husband Marcus Bachmann’s Christian counseling clinic (recently underfire for attempting to turn gays straight through prayer), comedian Marc Maron spoke about how he thinks about “angrily ****ing” the Republican presidential candidate.
“I don’t want to be crass, but I just hope that Marcus Bachmann takes all that, ya know, that rage that comes from repression and denial and brings it into the bedroom with her,” Maron said. “I hope he **** her angrily, because that’s how I would. And I’ve thought about it.”
Just to ensure that observers could not charge the panel with sexism, columnist and gay-rights activist Dan Savage chimed in to say that he too would really like to do the same to another socially conservative presidential candidate, Rick Santorum.
“Just so you don’t get charged with sexism, because only Michele Bachmann was invo[lved] I sometimes think about ****ing the **** out of Rick Santorum,” Savage said to cheers. “Just ’cause I think he needs it. It’s not just women we are talking about ****ing. It’s like, ‘let’s bone that Santorum.’”
I’d be up for whipping up some Santorum in Santorum,” Savage added, referencing the vulgar neologism Savage himself concocted back in 2003.
I refuse to watch the video. Reading it was enough for me. This world has completely gone upside down, right is wrong, wrong is right.

Marc Maron is about the most unfunny “comedian” out there. I didn’t know he was still around. I saw his act in the 90s (probably on HBO) and it was all bashing republicans. Such a clever boy.

WEll we all know what happened to Rush on ESPN. We know there’s a double standard in the LSM. My point is, if a conservative had made similar remarks about a famous liberal, all hell would break loose.
There was a time when voicing such thoughts would get you horsewhipped and confined to a loony bin. Now it gets you applause on prime time TV.

Amen. Satanic influence is the only explanation for the venomous hatred of the Left for Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, and even George W. Bush.
They at least get it that they are repulsive, disgusting individuals and that it would be a really mean thing to make anyone spend “intimate” time with them. They are telling the world how insecure and SELF-loathing they are.
The knowledge that the people APPLAUDING this crap are walking the streets is disturbing...moving into the woods is becoming more appealing every passing minute...
