Compelling stuff. A four year old blog post about a twenty year old experience recalled by a lady whose interests include “Lucid Dreams”, ...... If that’s the best evidence you have of right-wing indoctrination camps across the country, it’s safe to say it’s not an issue.

The original post that I responded to, by Navy Patriot, claimed that there were NO politically based youth camps in the U.S.

Therefore, it was claimed, such a scenario (a left-wing nutjob shooting up a Republican youth camp or a right-wing nutjob shooting up a Democrat youth camp) could never occur in the U.S. Since politically oriented youth camps existed only in Europe, it was claimed, this was a unique European scenario.

I gave examples, one example from the Republican Party and one example from the Democratic Party, to demonstrate that there ARE politically oriented youth camps in the U.S.

The same thing could happen right here in the U.S. at a Republican youth camp or a Democrat youth camp. That type of camp does exist in the U.S.

That's the point.

Period.

Besides you, in your post to me, who said anything about "right-wing indoctrination camps" or "left-wing indoctrination camps"?

Do you consider the Young Republicans Club at your local high school as an example of a "right-wing indoctrination camp"?

Do you consider the Young Democrats Club at your local high school as an example of "left-wing indoctrination camp"?

Does everything having to do with politics have to be at one extreme or another with you?

Besides you, in your post to me, who said anything about these camps being "an issue"?

Don't the Young Republicans have a right to have a summer camp?

Don't the Young Democrats have a right to have a summer camp?

Doesn't the Tea Party have a right to have a summer camp?

June 16, 2011: Tea Party Creates Summer Camp for Kids! ..... "Children will win hard, wrapped candies to use as currency for a store, symbolizing the gold standard. On the second day, the 'banker' will issue paper money instead. Over time, students will realize their paper money buys less and less, while the candies retain their value."

Yes it did. And you found a pretty flimsy example of a Republican "youth camp" provided by a flaky broad from Orange County who sees white lights hovering around Barry Dunham. Sorry, I didn't find your evidence of right-wing youth camps compelling. The Tea Party Summer Camp was a better example, but it certainly doesn't compare to what was going on at this leftist madrassa in Norway (unless you believe the messages being taught are equally valid). Kind of like comparing the Boy Scouts to the children at the People's Temple Agricultural Project.

There are two sides in politics. The side that fights for the Truth (God's truth) and the side that fights against it. Yes, everything at its core is on one side or the other. Sometimes the political right is on the former (less and less it seems), while the political left is always, without exception, in the latter camp.

If you believe there's a middle ground, I'd like to hear it explained.

Besides you, in your post to me, who said anything about these camps being "an issue"?

You provided an example of a woman who claims to have been dragged to a camp she didn't approve of against her will. The "issue" was implied by your source.

Don't the Young Republicans have a right to have a summer camp?
Don't the Young Democrats have a right to have a summer camp?

Where did I mention restricting anyone's rights? What words did I use that even suggested I might be talking about restricting anyone's right?
