ABC's Cokie Roberts said something on national television Sunday that made her colleague George Will shake his head on camera.
During a "This Week" discussion about the recent credit rating downgrade by Standard and Poor's Roberts said, 'The problem that we have here is the Constitution of the United States of America which actually does require people to come together from different perspectives" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Well Cokie. The Constitution has been around almost as long as you have. The American people decided that the Constitution would lay out the type of government we were going to have here in America. DEAL WITH IT!

Hmmmm, after watching the video I think this is taken out of context, and George looked to be agreeing, not disagreeing. Perhaps I’m not seeing this correctly....

First .. I'm clearly suspicious about anything from ABC's Cokie Roberts ...
Second ... I have no doubt that "serious" SECRET conversations have occurred between Zero, Harry Reid and Nancy (ad nauseum) ... with Bill "The Terrorist" Ayres in attendance about "functionally scrapping" the U.S. Constitution before 2012 ...
However ... the brief soundbite that I watched (frankly) gave no hint to Cokie Robert's alleged trashing of the Constitution ...
Would she like to see it happen, to further her semi-socialist political agenda ?
Yes ...
Did she say that today ? No ...
Thanks for the post, however ... and thanks again ...

I wish George would move to a relevant program, where we could benefit from his analysis.

Whether she is agreeing or not, the choice of words here is rather strange, and suggestive even if she is being ‘creative’.

Some sites exist to churn news stories - if they have to spin them...well, so what?
I personally want to keep my focus on the actual problems - God knows we have enough of them that we don’t need to be distracted with b.s.

I have not watched THAT show since David Brinkley died because of the idiocy of the panel. Cokie, Cookie - whatever your name is, you should be ashamed of having said that. Shame, shame.

The fact that he hasn’t should tell you where his loyalties lie.

If the goal is to uncover the anti-Constitutionalists, it should be done with credible information.
Regardless of Roberts’ past denouncements, here it seems, no thanks to the limited context, that Roberts is ridiculing the parliamentary system, while pointing out the virtue of the Constitution and the “problem” it creates for ‘misrepresentative’ govt.

Don't be too quick to write off George Will.
As a national correspondent, he needs to be able to criticize the GOP and then Donks.
