It might if your entire electoral resume was based on the claim that you're extraordinarily smart, dynamic, a captivating speaker and iconic symbol who has accomplished basically nothing else in life except getting elected to ever higher electoral office.

It wouldn't matter a whit if your electoral resume was based on real accomplishments, whether in business, lower electoral office or elsewhere.
