Most Americans probably haven’t read a book in years. Most of those who have, read a romance novel.
Talk about splitting hairs, geez.
Within the seas of information there are continent-sized islands of ignorance.
Media...
“Stupid is as stupid does...”
“If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. That’s ridiculous. If you have a gun, what in the hell do you have to be paranoid for.”
Someone needs to post the pic of “A Reporter’s Guide to Guns”. I saw it once on FR, wish I had saved it.
She gets her information where all liberals get their information. She makes it up.
Some good analogies there.
Of course it’s not just about guns. The media (particularly local) rarely gets anything remotely mechanical or technical correct.
Or for that matter, anythiing, period.
The next time they report on a story in your neigborhood, etc, notice how many mistakes they maek. Names, addresses, relationships, basic facts.
If they can’t get the most easily ascertainable facts straight....
John McClane: That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.
Carmine Lorenzo: You'd be a surprised what I make in a month.
John McClane: If it's more than a dollar ninety-eight I'd be very surprised.
Aww man... I wanted to be evil this week. Guess I'll need to wait my turn.
Just another example of a world turned upside-down, where cultivated ignorance is hailed as knowledge, and abject cowardice is praised as courage.
