Evangelical Rick Perry's promotion of filtered islamic history is troubling to most American voters!
Patriot Statesman ^ | 8/15/2011 | Aisha Foda

As an evangelical Christian, Rick Perry would be wise to at least read this detailed report from islamic writings on the prescribed pedophilia and sexual abuse of little girls and women of all ages before he promotes indoctrinating Texas children on a filtered islamic history! Does Christ following Rick Perry know what the founder of islam did when he was over 50 years old in his sexual relationship with 8/9 year old girls like Aisha? While the leftist

leaning Houston chronicle might be comforted by Rick’s muslim ties, the majority of American voters would be horrified to know that trusted original islamic writings describe in detail how their founder was having sex with a little girl while she was playing with her dolls. Sadly Rick Perry seems to be following in the footsteps of George W. Bush in wrongly believing islam is a “religion of peace”!

Isn’t it interesting how one can take a sentence and fabricate an entire narrative around it?
///
yes. it is.
that is EXACTLY what you did, in your initial disgusting comment about “buggering”.

which YOU thought of.

so yes, i’ve learned volumes today. and if Perry inspires people like you, then he just LOST my vote!!!

either way, there is no excuse for such nastiness.

Exactly, so the author should apologize to the governor for his accusations of accepting those tenets in which were never mentioned in the governor's original quotes. The author created the narrative around a couple of sentences that falsely implied that Governor Perry accepted and praised those things. Pretty nasty if I do say so myself. Far nastier than my little object lesson in the prior post.

Wow, pretty easily influenced aren't you if you flip out over a forum post to the point it affects your vote. If I said 'hope and change' a whole bunch using NLP triggers, would that change your mind. /sarc

It is ironic that Islam actually represented a step up for women among the pagan Arabs. Exposure of unwanted female infants was a common practice among those tribes. At least Islam prohibited that practice.

Which is not to say it is not an Antichrist religion and now dangerous to the world.

Apparently you are unaware of who the Ismailis are and their relation to the rest of Islam.

These are NOT orthodox Muslims and becoming their friends will make you the enemy of the orthodox.

Still incapable of properly punctuating sentences, I see.

Everyone should read the Koran just so they can see for themselves what a piece of crap it is.

This is just another area that stands in contrast to the public image of Perry that he is selling. Maybe not all muslims have been terrorists... but all terrorists have been muslims. I find muslims and islam to be incompatible with ALL western culture... and I refuse to give up my culture because muslims are offended by it. All of islam is an offense. I have read the koran and the hadith... Allen West has too... and West agrees with what I am sying here.

And Perry supports the Sharia promoting Aga Khan...

"The Āgā Khān is particularly interested in the elimination of global poverty; the advancement of women; the promotion of Islamic culture, art, and architecture; and promoting pluralistic values in society. He is the founder and chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network, one of the largest private development networks in the world, which toils towards environment, health, education, architecture, culture, microfinance, rural development, disaster reduction, the promotion of private-sector enterprise and the revitalisation of historic cities."

Doesn't sound like the traditional Sharia promoting agenda...

But leave that aside for a moment. Just what, in your exalted opinion, should be the position of any elected official toward Muslims in his state/community? Should he try to pass laws against them? Should he denounce them as pagans and barbarians? What is the proper approach to such a sticky situation, seeing as they are American citizens as well, and their religion is not supposed to have any bearing on the quality of their representation by elected officials.

By the way, no one has yet provided any evidence that Perry supports Sharia - this is another one of those pathetic "guilt by association" drive-by attacks. "Oh no, he said something nice about a Muslim! He is going to allow Sharia to take over our legal system!"

If we somehow manage to lose this election, it will be because of things like this. We will have convinced the independents that we cannot or will not distinguish between radical terrorists and Muslims who are loyal citizens, or between illegal immigrants and Hispanics in general. In short, we will have persuaded them that conservatives really are ignorant and intolerant. Sad.

If anyone could show me where this particular person, the Aga Khan, has spoken in favor of Sharia law replacing the American legal system, or where he has supported the jihadists, or where he has called America "the Great Satan", then you might have an argument. But it sounds like the only argument is that he is a Muslim. If you are going to hate and distrust all Muslims just because they are Muslim, that is going to put you at odds with about 1/6th of the world's population.

Another Texas Governor who wrongly ,Places everyone on the same level with Americans in this country!

The only problem with your statement is that the speech in question was given to American Muslims about an American Muslim center that was being built. We don't judge whether or not someone is an American by their religion...

In this Official Texas Speech, Rick Perry quotes the Koran, and praises Muslims and Islam....Grovels calling Muslim leader “His Highness” and “Rare is the religious leader whose vision is so extraordinary that his appeal transcends nationality, ethnicity and faith traditions. His Highness, the Aga Khan, is one such extraordinary leader. “

So, I assume you would have the same objection to any American politician saying nice things about the Pope, and would be irate an any American politican "grovelling" before the Pope by calling him "His Holiness", as is the customary protocol...

Perry DID quote the Quran in honor of that Imam. this is an area that concerns me, and these are fair questions for vetting.

Would you be as concerned if he quoted from the Book of the Maccabees in honor of the Pope? Or if he quoted from the Talmud in honor of a rabbi? If not, why not?

Obviously, that statement is factually incorrect. That is just as silly as saying you cannot be a Christian and be an American. As Christians, our first loyalty is to the kingdom of God - does this mean we can't also be good American citizens?
