A politician honors a religion when he showers praises on it like Perry did.

Are you really that stupid to think that politicians are not honoring Islam when they call it a “religion of peace”?

face it - Multiculturalism has FAILED. Look at the looting in England.

I know that the program teaches history teachers using donated, not State funds. http://www.saisd.net/admin/curric/sstudies/mhcp/mhcproject.html

And yet, the Governor has no qualms about standing up and declaring that he believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

The Apostle Paul in Acts preached the “unknown god.” In Romans, he writes of the law written on men’s hearts. In 1 Corinthian 9, he says he is all things to all people in order to save a few.

1Co 9:21 To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law.
1Co 9:22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.

"That had to come from someone on our side,But it will not work,Reason being, The Koran itself ! you would have to remove about half the pages from it , Now the way it is spooled together, the whole thing would implode. You are right that it came from someone on our side - it was from Sarah Palin in 2009."

It sounded like her now, I know it was Sarah.

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries.

Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity.

The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith.

It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

-- Sir Winston Churchill (The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50 [London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1899]).

Do you agree with this statement, or is this politician "honoring" Islam?

"In this struggle with radical Islamic extremists, no part of the world is safe from those who bomb, maim and kill in the service of their twisted vision.

This war – and that is what it is, a war – is not, as some have said, a clash of civilizations. We are not at war with Islam. This is a war within Islam, where a small minority of violent killers seeks to impose their view on the vast majority of Muslims who want the same things all of us want: economic opportunity, education, and the chance to build a better life for themselves and their families. The reality is that al Qaeda and its affiliates have killed scores of innocent Muslim men, women and children.

The reality is that Muslims from Algeria, Indonesia, Iraq, Afghanistan and many other countries are fighting Al Qaeda and their allies today. But this will be a long war, and it will require far more than just military power to prevail. Just as we did in the Cold War, we will need to use all the tools at our disposal – hard and soft power. Economic development, public diplomacy, educational exchanges, and foreign assistance will be just as important as the instruments of military power."

I would advise y'all to look up the difference between the Ismailis and the other Muslims. The Ismailis do not veil their women, encourage education for girls and their men and women worship together. They are despised by the Sunnis and other Shi'ites.

I dared read the speech and will dare to copy the portions of the Quran that the Governor quoted, while reminding those who read that Paul told us that the law of the Lord is written on men's hearts.

"The Quran says: Truly those who believe, and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabeans – whoever believes in God and the Last Day and is virtuous – surely their reward is with their Lord, and no fear shall come upon them, neither shall they grieve.”

The Governor echoes the Apostle Paul in his final point:

"That brings me to my final observation. Whatever faith tradition underlies our own strongly-held beliefs, we would be wise to follow the example of His Highness in identifying the values that are common to people of all faiths. This understanding provides a firm foundation for advancing society. Loving our neighbors, providing for the poor, valuing human life as God’s unique creation: these common threads are woven through the fabric of many faiths, and they can inspire our collective conduct."

I am talking about the terrorism in the USA... but we do have small problems with elf and the world anarchists... but they have not killed 3000 of our countrymen on our soil... murdered service men and women on American soil and millions world wide. So I should modify my statement to read, “all terrorists that are at war with America and that have been responsible for massive loss of life or calculated massive loss of life... in those cases where the attacks have been preempted”. But you know what I mean.

Rick Perry addressed his Message to the 600,000 MUSLIMS in Texas -— Not JUST Ismailis.

So are you gonna defend all the 600,000 now?

You can’t stick your head int the sand and say “we are not at war with Islam”.

If Islam is at war with you, you are at war, no matter what kind of pudding you have in your head.

That’s why we were “surprised” by the Cole bombing, Twin Towers, etc, etc, etc.

Islam is at war with those that will not submit. That is what “Islam” means - Submission. Or Die.

Why do you think you can “win” someone over with rhetoric after they have been on the march for 1500+ years with the same philosophy?

Not only are you out of touch with reality, you are out of touch with 1500 years of history.

I didn't say that.

Sarah Palin did. That was her quote, not mine.

So I guess she is the one out of touch with reality, not me.

Because I’m not terribly familiar with Governor Perry I want to see him vetted - by conservatives.

######
Here are some things to consider.
#

Rick Perry is a friend to illegals

Rick Perry Said he would not support a Law like Arizona’s in Texas.

He wants Texas to provide universal healthcare for Mexican citizens

He wants Texas to provide funding for education for illegal aliens and Mexican citizens

He supports Mexican citizens taking U.S. trucker’s jobs

He wants open borders with Mexico.

Here is Rick Perry in His Own words

Rick Perry Supports Obamacare for Mexican citizens why would he secure the borders?

“Legislation authored by border legislators Pat Haggerty and Eddie Lucio establishes an important study that will look at the feasibility of bi-national health insurance. This study recognizes that the Mexican and U.S. sides of the border compose one region, and we must address health care problems throughout that region. That’s why I am also excited that Texas Secretary of State Henry Cuellar is working on an initiative that could extend the benefits of telemedicine to individuals living on the Mexican side of the border.”

Rick Perry supports Texas money to educate Illegals

“As a compassionate state, we know that for our children to succeed, they must not only be healthy, but educated. The future leaders of our two nations are learning their fractions and their ABC’s in classrooms all along this border. Immigrants from around the world are being taught in Texas classrooms, and our history is rich with examples of new citizens who have made great contributions. We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom, “we don’t care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there.” And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers. “

Perry on Providing Special College rates for illegals

“That’s why Texas took the national lead in allowing such deserving young minds to attend a Texas college at a resident rate. Those young minds are a part of a new generation of leaders, the doors of higher education must be open to them. The message is simple: educacion es el futuro, y si se puede.”

Rick Perry supports an open border

“President Fox’s vision for an open border is a vision I embrace, as long as we demonstrate the will to address the obstacles to it.”

Rick Perry supports Mexican truckers taking U.S. jobs.

“That is why it is wrong, and inherently detrimental to our relationship with Mexico for the U.S. Congress to pursue a protectionist policy that forbids Mexican trucks from U.S. roadways. It is bad public policy, and it violates the terms of the NAFTA agreement we agreed to. Mexican trucks that meet our safety standards should be given the same access to U.S. roads as our Canadian neighbors to the north”

Rick Perry is a friend to illegals

Perry opposes a Law like Arizon’s for Texas His excuse...he said he does not want to tie up Texas law enforcement resources because it would take them away from enforcing other criminal activities (ie. rape, burgularies, drug trafficking , murders) you know the crimes that are so often committed by illegals, that he doesn’t want to waste our resources on.

Don’t Believe the Hype. Meet the Real Rick Perry
Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas Sends Warning to Republicans Nationwide About Perry’s Tax and Spend Record

AUSTIN, TX - Texas Governor Rick Perry may be the flavor of the day for a lot of Republicans, but Texas Republicans who are familiar with his record are a lot less enthusiastic about his presidential run. “Perry has a unique talent for finding new ways to raise taxes and loves to use taxpayer money to subsidize his business cronies,” says Secretary Dave Nalle of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas. “His supposed belief in limited government and states rights conveniently disappears whenever it conflicts with the demands of the special interests and corporate cronies who he serves.”

Governor Perry’s record of big government, big spending, big taxing and attacks on the fundamental rights of Texas citizens is a familiar to Texans, but seems to be much less well known to Republicans outside of the state, which may explain his high initial showing in the polls. The Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas is compiling a complete dossier on Perry to share with fellow Republicans outside their state so that they can be informed about what they are being sold in a Perry presidential candidacy.

The file on Perry’s abuses of power, insider deals with cronies and tax and spend policies is thick, but for a start here are what Texas RLC members voted as the top five Perry scandals which GOP primary voters need to know more about:

1. Business Slush Funds: Perry made heavy use of business incentive “slush funds” which used taxpayer dollars to subsidize selected businesses, many of them run by his major campaign contributors. Just two of these funds, the Texas Enterprise Fund and the Texas Emerging Growth fund, spent over $700 million to subsidize businesses to move to Texas or expand operations in Texas, with little evidence that these handouts of taxpayer money produced job or revenue growth anywhere near sufficient to justify the expense. In fact, many of these businesses eventually downsized or relocated long before they had earned the money Perry gave them, or even went bankrupt with $25 million fund dollars like Contrywide Financial. source

2. Toll Roads and Land Seizures Perry has never met a toll road project he wasn’t willing to seize huge amounts of private land for and then give the exclusive management contracts to foreign corporations. Perry’s time in office has set records for eminent domain land seizures - over a million acres have been seized. His toll road projects have confiscated family farms and torn communities apart. Toll roads have been used as a massive off-the-books tax program, taking money from Texas drivers and feeding it to foreign financial interests and management groups which lobbied the governor for special deals which produce much higher tolls and higher profits than are typical in other states. source

3. Forced Vaccinations: In 2007 Perry issued an executive order which would have forcibly vaccinated every girl in Texas entering the sixth grade with Merck’s Gardasil vaccine for Human Papilloma Virus. This massive violation of the privacy rights of Texas teenagers and their parents would have come at a cost of $360 in taxpayer money per shot. It would have been a huge windfall for Merck, which had paid Perry’s former Chief of Staff $250,000 to lobby the governor and legislature to promote the forced vaccination program. source

4. The Job-Killing Franchise Tax: Knowing that it would be impossible to pass an income tax against popular opposition in Texas, Perry promoted the idea of a special business tax called the “Franchise Tax” which taxes businesses at different arbitrary rates set by the government. This tax expands business taxes to types of businesses which are not taxed in most states and in many cases taxes small businesses more than large corporations they compete with. For example it taxes small car repair shops at double the rate it taxes large dealerships for car repairs. It’s a small business and job killer. source

5. Scuttled the Ant-TSA Bill When Rep. David Simpson led the Texas legislature towards passage of an enormously popular bill (HB1938) to hold the TSA accountable for intrusive searches of airline passengers, Perry played a key role in making sure that the bill was not passed. When the TSA and the Justice Department began pressuring him, although Perry had promised to submit the bill to the special legislative session, he delayed submitting the bill until it was so late in the session that it was virtually impossible to hold the constitutionally mandated votes necessary for passage. That way he could score points with the public for submitting the popular bill while at the same time making sure that it wouldn’t pass. It’s a classic example of Perry’s insincere pandering. source

Don’t be fooled by campaign hype. If Perry says he’ll cut taxes or get government off our back, look up his real record. Look up his past statements. He supported TARP. He supported the bailouts. He was even Al Gore’s Texas campaign manager back in 1980. A vote for Perry in the Republican primary is a vote for more big government and more taxes and more of the the same deficits and irresponsibility we had for 12 years under Bush and Obama. The Republican Party and the nation need real leadership, not more of the same with a nicer head of hair.

RLC of Texas Chairman Judson Vandiver asks, “Let’s hope Republicans outside Texas see through all the hype. Let’s all say to to Perry what he said to a Texas state trooper when he tried to bully her after she pulled him over for speeding YouTube: ‘Why don’t you just let us get on down the road?’”
##

Some of us Texans tried to warn people that Bush isn’t a conservative before he was nominated. Not enough people listened and we got screwed. Hopefully, that will not happen again.

>>Do you have the courage to read it, and if you have read it, how can one man believe in Jesus Christ as savior, and praise a religion that promotes it’s spread through the sword?<<

According to scripture not so much and get away with it.

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8-9

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Looks to me like anyone who takes Perry’s view of Islam has a serious problem.

Here’s the quote from Perry/

It is a great honor to be in the presence of the Imam of 16 million Muslims around the world, a global humanitarian leader, a man of peace with a pluralistic vision for people around the world, His Highness, the Aga Khan, the 49th Hereditary Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. Your Highness, on behalf of 23 million Texans, and over 600,000 thousand Muslims living in Texas, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for your 50 years of great international leadership. We are delighted to welcome you to the Lone Star State and participate in the celebration of your Golden Jubilee. I am also grateful to the many federal, state and local leaders in attendance tonight. By their presence, these special guests convey the profound respect that exists in the Western World for His Highness’ work and leadership.

Here’s what scripture says about that.

Thanks for the information regarding Rick Perry and his statements and actions as Texas governor regarding Mexico and (illegal) Mexican immigrants. I would like to see/hear the Governor questioned on some of these statements/actions and hear his response, which would offer a broader insight into his thinking on these issues and others. I’m sure that will happen as the campaign unfolds. Meanwhile, any information from Texans and Texas-based political organizations can be useful to non-Texans seeking to gain a better understanding of where Rick Perry stands, based on his words and actions as governor. At this point, I’m mildly hopeful about Perry but still highly skeptical, considering past Republican politicians that appeared to be solid conservatives but turned out to be little more than RINOs that were only conservative on a few (important) issues. I realize that compromise is a factor in politics but after the Obama devastation, we can’t tolerate any more lukewarm ‘conservatives’.

If they don't attack Perry, I'll remain skeptical of the Governor as a TEA party conservative and stick with Sarah Palin, my first choice, by a landslide.

Ambassador Alan Keyes called it last spring -- the RiNO's, he said, would produce a "Judas horse" to bring the Tea Party rejectionists back into the RiNO corral. He thought Palin would be the Judas horse -- it would appear that Perry is the horse instead.

Bilderberg-vetted (twice at least -- the first time in 2007, when he was summoned to Istanbul), totally in bed with banksters and billionaires and the rest of the Open Borders Lobby, there is no way in hell Perry is down with the Tea Party and what it stands for.

So do you believe that means that no other religions should have any rights here? That they should be treated as enemies of the state? Because that is what it sounds like.

You don't get it.

You are spending your energy and lavishing your concern on people who don't care about your solicitude, whose only concern is to drive your neck down and make you incline before their faith. Nothing else engages their interest.

As such, they demonstrably and definitively fall outside the design parameters of U.S. society and its social compact, as described by Madison, Hamilton, and John Adams, all of whom founded our institutions on a base of Western Christianity and Western civilization.

That's the point.

You don't get it. My concern is not primarily for them. My concern is for me and my family. If we place muslims outside the protections of the Constitution, then what happens when someone wants to place MY religion outside the protections of the Constitution? What about when the government decides that it doesn't want ANY religion to have the primary allegiance of its citizens?
