This reminds me of the thing Catholics do, where they wrongly claim church authority to be above the Bible... from a verse in the Bible...
Do you mean like a "living" constitution subject to revision, modification and reinterpretation to suit the needs of the individual?

By the Apostolic Traditions of the Church. Jesus established a Church upon the first Pope, St. Peter that was tasked with preserving, defending, interpreting and teaching all of the Revealed Word, not just the portion that the Church wrote down some 200-300 years later.
