Deep underground bunker with geothermal power and radiation hardened servers?
I like the idea of duplicate sites at different locations.
What I worry about is that freerepublic is incredibly effective. It is so effective that I worry about it being a big, fat, target. The enemy of the Republic, the left, has a long history of thuggery and the use of force to destroy or incapacitate those who oppose their policies. They have no compunction about destroying them.
I would gladly pay some money for some security for freerepublic. To me, it kinda looks like the twin towers before 9/11. Some of our enemies may decide that it is just too big and juicy a target to let stand.
At the minimum, I would like to believe that freerepublic is backed up in such a way that mere physical damage would not prevent it from coming back on line in a week.
If there is anything we can do to provide that level of security, count me in.
