VAT has made made tax evasion a national sport in the EU
$670 BILLION In Tax Increases Under Obama!
The House Ways and Means Committee released a list today of the more than $670 billion in tax increases that Democrats have signed into law since January of 2009, when Barack Obama took office. The list includes at least 14 violations of the Presidents pledge not to raise taxes on Americans earning less than $200,000 for singles and $250,000 for married couples, totaling more than $316 billion in tax increases for middle class families. Texas Congressman John Carter takes it a step further, outlining additional tax increases that are scheduled to take effect automatically over the next three years.

The "poor", or those on food stamps, will still dine well. They won't have to pay for anything. They'll still be referred to as "the poor", but will eat like kings.
Democrats do plan ahead on their campaign lies. Now if we could just get them to plan ahead on the business of government.
You can guarantee a US VAT will be set up so authority to raise the VAT rate handed off to some bureaucracy like the IRS so no Congress-critter will ever have to go on record as voting to raise it.
NO tax hikes, not new taxes, not one more dime for DC.
We do not have a taxing problem in this country, we have a spending problem. EVEN if you tax every penny over $250,000 at 100%, you still only get enough money to fund the Federal Government for 141 days.
I’ma put it to you this way, Barry, you sissy.
Put a VAT tax on goods in this country and so help me God I will never buy anything from inside the borders of the USA again.
I’ll leave the country if I have to.
I ain’t payin you one mother ****in cent more, ya feel me?
Soros' and Obambi's ultimate dream would finally be realized.
The problem is not the method of tax COLLECTION. The problem is SPENDING. We have to get that under control first and the first step to accomplishing that goal is to get Obummer and the Dems out of office.
I have great faith that the conservative republicans in the senate will oppose this measure——NOT.
Awaiting the blathering RINO’s to go at a full gallop in support.
Why not pass a 5 percent consumption tax to take effect two years from now?
Why not 50% immediately? /s
Murphy’s Law is swaying in the wind on this one.
The federal government is eyeing the crumbs left on our diminishing plate and wondering why we need to keep so many crumbs. FUBO!
Agreed
Would the imposition of a VAT have to be voted on by the congress and or senate???
IOW: Redistribution.

We as a nation don’t have silver, and silver is acting like a currency lately.
This is a cheap way to get some silver, and get the average Joe to worry about not buying gold or silver because the gov might just take it way.
Can’t have the sheeple waking up tooo soon, now can we?
Apparently Obammy feels the economy isn’t depressed enough.
1. If the law says that a consumption tax is implemented upon repeal of the 16th amendment, I’m OK.
2. NST beats VAT, because the voters feel it when they pay.
3. I don’t see how transferring more money from private hands to the government will help the economy.
