In the song I'd Like To Change The World, I always thought it was telling that the words go:

Tax the rich,
Feed the poor
'Till there are no rich no more.

Not until there aren't any more poor, but until there aren't any more rich. Intentionally or not, it points out that taxing the rich won't end poverty (there simply isn't enough wealth held by the rich to do so) but instead the real goal is to tear down the rich to the point of shared misery.

I've got a better metric: Let DU contributors try to justify their existence as something other than a lump that's converting oxygen to a greenhouse gas. Such as having invented something, built something, grown something, or in some fashion contributed to society.

Just a thought, but since I am married to a nurse... there is no true nurses union... not a national one for sure. They ave a few cities like LA and Chicago but for the most part nurses are not unionized, most consider themselves to be professionals.
