Be mindful she chooses her words very carefully as I’m sure you do as well. In that, the “spot” always gets larger the further you are away from the light and that baloon field was very far away.
I subscribe she was spreading it out, far and wide. Her main arguement is with the permanent political class and anyone who remotely falls into that light has been shined upon.
She does choose her words carefully and I think she meant both targeted and diffused light.
She brilliantly framed her campaign for anyone who chooses to pay attention: there will be no actual right-sizing of government without cutting the corruption, so simple ‘small government bromides’ such as what Perry is pitching aren’t enough. Serious reform is needed to restore the country—and our economy.
What’s more, it is incumbent on voters to look for a presidential candidate who has the will and the proven way to face down corruption in both parties.
That is only Palin and she doesn’t need to be too direct in pointing out the limits in this area among the other candidates.
