He does go back and try to cover his ass later by saying "You should be a citizen to be able to vote" But that was after several minutes of complaining about new laws requiring voters to have valid ID. It's obvious he let his true feelings on the issue slip out. Calling Doctor Freud

Guys like Shure won't be satisfied until voting in American elections is confined exclusively to non-Americans.

They are unwatchable for more than 4.2 seconds. More boring than being forced to watch that idiot Bill Mahr and just as insipid.

Young Turks is a web only thing, not shown on tv I believe.
The original host (not seen here) went to MSNBC for a while, he’s a holocaust denier, pushing the idea that the Turkish genocide of 2 million Armenians was a myth.

Straight leftist stuff

He likened it to Jim Crow laws which were Dem supported. Guy’s an idiot.

Actually a term of long standing:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Turks

I imagine the show uses the title because it means modernist, progressive.

They’re hip; unlike us Neanderthals on the right who believe in annoying stuff like ...oh, you should be a citizen to vote in elections and be able to prove it by showing some form of government issued ID at the polls.

There are already measures in place (provisional ballots) for persons who come to vote and and somehow don’t have identification with them. However, the Lord help you if a post-election check (required before the ballot is counted) reveals you were not eligible to vote.

What Mr. Shure wants is not checking at all, just come on down everybody and vote Democrat...and bring your twelve cousins along as well.
