Unfortunately he died of cancer about 18 months ago.
Dang, his stuff was really interesting. I didn’t know he’d passed... bummer...
IBT - - - - oh wait. Post by mods.
Midgets and Ponies blog ROCKS.
Thank you! It’s a labor of love, I tell ya’.
BEST BLOG EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since when did YOU, Humblegunner, get promoted?
It’s appreciated. Some of us are in between. I have a website, I make money off my books. I am now posting articles. Some of my material is as good as anythig out there (not all, I’m not perfect). At what point do you cross over from being vanity blog to respected source? I mean, at what point am I more trustworthy than the NYT?
Oh great, now we have to deal with a Mod who's going rogue..........
How about this: under an item's headline, another line gets added, or an addendum to the from/to line, to specify what section the 'story' is coming from, eg: breaking, extended, bloggers, etc ??
Think of the bandwidth that'd be saved on blog pimp graphics !
Or better yet, add an option on our preferences page to choose which categories to exclude when browsing the forum ?!
In other words, I'd check off and have presented to me everything except eg: bloggers, religion, etc ?!
Even better, the above exclusion filter AND a 'kill' button for plonking the insufferable @holes, trolls, etc ?
LOL - you need to do a racetrack segment. They have midget/pony racetracks, right?
Thank you, Deo!
Did you donate to the cause? Are you a midget, or an equestrian, or (gasp) both? :)
Sometimes the reason someone excerpts is to protect their original material, not for financial gain.
I don't allow comments on my site nor do I sell ad space so I'm not looking to steal the conversation or make money from my participation here. But I do put in the time and effort to research issues/write original material and don't want to lose my ownership of it by posting it in its entirety somewhere else.
a vanity against vanities
shouldn’t you at least post a link to your blog?
Great idea! I never knew there were so many midget lovers on FR.
*Holding back tears of joy*
Lol, but no... :-)
I was done posting for a few days, but I had to log back in to .02c this.
I don’t post often because I’m busy elsewhere. Reading, recording, but mostly just living life. But I will always post full content from the blog entries I write, because it’s important for me to see that others learn the history of progressivism. If nobody wants to click the blog links, don’t. I’d like to see others create their own blogs about progressives’ history using the direct sources that I cite, if that’s what they felt like doing. Especially because I’m sure I won’t always get things right all the time. I just want it out there and easily referenced, and the more it’s referenced directly, the better. And just so it’s stated openly, there are no ads on my pages. I’m not paid for the huge amount of time I’ve put into this. But someone has to do it. Might as well be me.
Dang right. With midgets and ponies, you'll never run out of material.
How is that material less protected here than on some virus-laden blog?
I don't allow comments on my site
It's a blog.
I'm not looking to steal the conversation or make money from my participation here
So why not post the material in full?
I do put in the time and effort to research issues/write original material
It's a blog. If you were any good at it you could get hired by someone.
don't want to lose my ownership of it by posting it in its entirety somewhere else.
Posting it here means you lose the ownership of it
but posting it on your disease-laden blog does not?
How exactly?
