Since there is a British Citizen warning Americans, and certainly that British Citizen is aware of policy in the U.S.A., then one cannot discount this WARNING as a mere coincidence, though one can be certain our government will ignore this British Citizen and this warning. Will America's Citizens be warned by word of mouth amongst one then to another in time? Regrettably ... Unknown.
