Maybe we should start a website, too. Call it the 50%ers. Those of us who pay income tax. Or is that down to 49% now? Anyway, I'll start:
Im 40-ish years old. My wife and I owe only our mortgage, which are about to refinance from a 15 year to an 8 while paying about 1/3 of it off. We plan to pay that off in about two years. In my mid-30s, I decided I didnt like my career and went back to school, graduating with a BS in Accounting. I borrowed a little money from family who said it was a gift, which we quickly paid back anyway. I now have my CPA and make twice what I did before I went back to school because I busted my ass in school and since. I didnt get a worthless degree, but realized it was investment in my future and didnt waste time in worthless endeavors that wouldnt benefit my career. I get up every day and work. 40 hours feels like a week off. I drive home in the dark more often than not. My wife gets up every day, goes to work, and busts her ass. I am the 50% that pays taxes (my largest single household expense) and supports you little whiney asses who want everything handed to you. Dye your hair back to its natural color, take a shower, take the metal out of your face, go get your tattoos removed, put on a decent set of clothes and go get a job, you freak.
You are not poor because I am rich.....
Dumbass. Move. There are plenty of graphic designer jobs all over the country. Dallas is crawling with them. Pack up your car and move.
The girl that picks up dog poop reminds me of the guy who’s job it was to give enemas to the elephants in the circus. Needless to say it was quite a messy affair. One day his friend and he were chatting and his friend advised him to find another line of work. The guy responded right away -
“What? And quit show business?”
“The 99 percent site reminds me of the Sorry Everybody site, on which liberals posted photographs of themselves apologizing to the world for the re-election of George W. Bush. Perhaps many of the 99 percenters still havent quite come to grips with that defeat.”
Most of the 99%’ers were watching Barney and the Cookie Monster when that defeat occurred.
I wanna be a 1 percenter too!!
I think you should have said “safer”. I don’t think anywhere will be truly safe in the coming days.
Paying taxes turned my wife from a liberal into a conservative (still a Dem, but a Southern Dem that mostly votes Conservative. Don't ask me, I dunno.).
Our tax bill the first year we were married was more than what she'd paid for four years of college tuition. She nearly dropped the pen when she went to sign the forms.
:-) Welcome to "Fiscal Conservatism", my dear. It had exactly the effect I wanted. An expensive, but very worthwhile lesson.
“500 employers rejected me!!! What’s WRONG with all of them??!”
To true. Relatively safer is the best we can aim for.
When I was young, my parents told me "Life is not fair." I started working when I was 13. I worked hard in school and got scholarships to high school and college. I paid for my own college education without parental assistance. I worked hard to build a career. I was successful and paid off my mortgage in 5 years. I have been debt free ever since. I do not blame other people for my bad choices. I am a FReeper. |
True, after all we have a liberal POTUS presently as a most perfect example.
Exactly! These folks are suffering the ultimate disillusionment. This is what happens to followers. Independent thinkers can find opportunity in the barest of fields. And if that doesn't succeed, try again, but I wish they would please stop whining.
I could use a couple of people with graphic design background and pay twice what he claims to make.... but now that he posted his face out there as a whining hippie, he shouldn’t bother applying... he obviously isn’t really trying. He could easily pull in $50/hour doing contract work alone... but that requires busting your butt...
Bump that...
Actions have consequences. Life is hard, and it’s harder when you’re stupid.
That should be a tagline. LOL :)
But that takes work and someone else should have to do it.
Why am I supposed to feel sorry for that??
