GOP Bosses Quietly Break Down the Primary Pack ("fix is in" for Romney?)
Politic 365 ^ | Oct 9, 2011 | Charles Ellison

Still, bursting the Cain bubble, prognosticators have an irritating habit of picking early winners and unfortunate losers. And, predictions point to Romney taking it all.

But, while the former Godfather's Pizza CEO continues to surge in polls and in notoriety, many insiders are convinced that Cain is merely posturing for the No. 2 spot. Signs point to a growing resignation within the Republican Party that its establishment bosses are beginning the process of winnowing down the very crowded field and paving a clear path for Romney.

With major GOP operatives like Karl Rove and the Bush political family having personal axes to grind with Perry, forces of political nature in the Republican Party are pushing someone not as unpredictable, gaffe-prone and irascible. Romney fits that bill.

If conservatives split between Perry, Cain, Bachmann, that helps Romney consolidate his lead. And since Perry is the only one who can beat Romney -- from Cain's own actions and words it is clear he just wants to be Romney's VP -- conservatives need to do some serious thinking.

Just so everyone knows...we’ll not vote for Romney. My nosed is calloused from holding it too often, and my wife, in one of those rare instances, agrees with me.

A pre-primary “primary” to pick a conservative.

Seriously, if the conservative candidates can’t see this down the road, and draw straws, them I’m tempted to think they are all in on it.

Now that Sarah says that she will not run, conservatives must back Cain over RINO Mitt and RINO Rick.

The Tea Party Targets Romney

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/10/09/tea-party-targets-mitt-romney-to-block-his-nomination-in-2012.html

“In other words, if your favorite candidate has no prayer at winning come primary day, don’t throw your vote away. “

Perry is the only credible alternative to Romney — Promoting and Voting for anyone else in the primary is just a vote for Romney — as conservativegrandma, I, and others have been pointing out all along.

I will not hold my nose and vote for Romney and I will not be bullied into voting for Perry because someone insist it must be Perry vs. Romney.

I will vote my conscience and right now that is Cain.

Cain is touching people's hearts and resonating. The and will make a difference and Cain is not a career politician with a politician's baggage.

He is genuine, he knows and loves America, he has seen it work for him through hard work and perserverence and He can bring that to the country...precisely when we need it.

That's why the left, and particularly the liberal blacks hate him. He represents the anti-thesis to their welfare/entitlement/marxist solution to keep everyone thwey can on their own economic plantation that is ruining the economy and the moral fiber of the nation. All in the name of power for them.

Cain's hard work, strong ethisc, let the charity of the American people help the poor attitude and mantra will bring them down and relegate them to the ash heap of history where they belong.

It is alos why the establishment GOPers fear him. All of the go along to get along, all the carreer minded pols, the lobby money, earmarks, etc., etc. are threatened by someone like Cain.

HERMAIN CAIN FOR A stronger, restored america!

The same party machinery that ran the party off the road in 2006 and 2008 is back. They see Obama as weak and so they want to make sure that their candidate gets the job. They are as blind to reality as Obama and his group were.

The fix is in...and conservatives want someone ‘perfect” with many on this forum saying they won’t vote for anyone that is a Republican candidate if its not who they want.

I will vote for Charlie Sheen over Obama.
The goal is to get Obama out...would be nice if we had Reagen, a governor that is articulate and at least through a rose colored rear view mirror , “perfect”...but we don’t.

Perry is not Romney. I like Cain but was dissapointed when he played the Race Card on Perry. Not sure what else he has in store. Besides, he wants to be romney’s VP as I see it.

I hear that. I think Romney will lose if he is the nominee. No way at all will I vote for him.

Cain has no chance of getting the nomination — he himself knows that, he is only positioning himself to be Romney’s VP, by attacking Perry and taking votes away from him, to help Romney.

The inability of people to see the obvious is amazing.

These threats, that if we don’t vote for your candidate, Perry, we’ll get Romney, are not working. The more people see and hear Cain, the more they like him. He is surging in popularity. The idea that over a year before the election we have to pick Perry Or Else is ridiculous. There’s another debate on Tues. Let’s see how the candidates do. Maybe Perry will do well. Or maybe Cain will continue to win hearts and minds. Either way, enough w the threats. Not backing Perry at this point in time does NOT mean we’re stuck w Romney, and it’s dishonest and coercive to constantly beat that drum.

Mitt Romney: I believe abortion should be safe and legal in this country.
I will preserve and protect a woman's right to choose.
I am not going to change our pro-choice laws in Mass. in anyway.

It is preposterous to say that Rick Perry is a conservative.

If a Democratic governor had granted in state tuition to illegal aliens, established Obama like Stimulus Projects and used tax payer dollars to not only put braces on kid’s teeth but also drive them to the orthodontist’s office, the Perry Bots would be enraged.

But when all that and more Socialist Nanny State Programs are initiated by Rick Perry, the Perry Bots cheer!

Perry is just Romney with some twang. He is a bought and paid for career politician who was a high level operative for Al Gore of all people. This effort to brand him as a true conservative is just a joke.
