I saw that on SeeBS tonight and it sure looked to me like a setup. It is possible that his foot got run over but then it looked like he intentionally moved his leg under the scooter.

Of course I think the cops look like idiots using scooters. If you want to move protesters, at least use a harley.

How obvious can you get. A staged event.

I would have to see the X-rays before in believe this guys leg was broken.

If he was an observer what was he observing when the scooter cop was blowing his little horn and the idiot couldn’t get out of the way? You can hear the horn long before the incident. Nothing but a set-up.

A heavy motorcycle is harder to use in slow speed, stop and go, mount and dismount scenario. A guy dropped his BMW (I think) bike in front of my house some time ago, and it was hard for us both to raise it. An LEO in a densely populated city doesn't need a boat anchor, he needs a vehicle that he can drop and lift all by himself. It also helps if the vehicle is not too loud.

With regard to "looking like an idiot," I believe this concern is not even on the radar of most LEOs. Staying safe is the priority #0; a vehicle that won't crush you if a protester pushes you is a good start.
