It's about time someone on Free Republic has the gonads to tell it like it is. The Herman Cain campaign is starting to resemble the storyline of the great Robert Earl Keen's song, "Mr. Wolf and Momma Bear." If you don't know what I'm talking about, listen to it here.

If open borders Perry believes that accusations made decades ago should pull Cain down to his level in the eyes of the voters then I’ll tell you what;

Let the two of them prepare their positions for three days and debate them before the public.

I’ll watch the show.

Rick Perry reminds me of a log. Well, that’s not altogether accurate; a log is more exciting.

I’ve yet to see Perry form a cogent thought at these debates. Guess that’s why this “open borders” dope is opting out of future debates. I’ll take Cain over Perry any day of the week.

Sorry, but Perry sounds like W’s Mini Me.

Bully, I was sitting in my office today listening to Rush and then Hannity and flash backs to the 90's, I need to turn my Conservative talk radio off because I am worried by the sexual nature of the discussion that I was risking a sexual harassment suit just by listening to it.

I'll put up with it when it's a Democrat, but the GOP Candidate! Come on! Not during this election! There is too much at stake!

Perry is a walking disaster and does not even deserve a consideration for President.

He is not a real conservative and he is a puppet of his big money donors.

Stop attacking other candidates to try to prop up the disaster that is Rick Perry.

NO MORE TEXAS REPUBLICANS FOR PRESIDENT! They are NOT real conservatives.

Arrogance will get you know where in my book and probably a lot of others on FR feel the same.

Leading up to the sex scandal, we had the clues

THERE IS NO "SEX SCANDAL". Calling it a sex scandal certainly degrades from any rational argument that may be in this piece -- it's shoddy, yellow journalism to use loaded words where they don't apply.

Even if you believed there was real sexual harrasment, nobody would call that a "sex scandal".

I'm not easy on Cain, but this is way beyond what is supported by fact. I would also have to disagree with the blanket statements about him being an "ass".

There may be an argument to be made that Cain is used to being able to just order people around. That's certainly how the private business world works; the CEO tells people what to do, they do it. But any argument is undercut by the misleading language used.

I’m going to vote for Mr. Cain, I don’t give a f*ck what anyone else says, I’m done with the GOP, and if that means Obama gets re-elected and America dies, then so f*cking be it.

Do you really think slamming a Conservative on FR is going to get you points?? Why don’t you tell us why we should vote for your candidate rather than piling on. Myself, you make me not want to vote for Perry and I like him.

Pray for America

I will vote for Cain or I’ll vote for nobody. I don’t care what comes out about him. I’ll vote for him to prove I’m not a racist. Yeah, that’s the ticket!

This person lost ALL and I do mean ALL credibility by calling this a SEX scandal. It isn’t. So far it has not one damn thing to do with sex. Every single person who worked with him at this time defends him and says his behavior was exemplary. Not to mention all we have are VERY, VERY vague allegations. But I guess it’s the seriousness of the charges, truth be damned. Now had this person not jumped to outright lies he certainly could make an argument that it wasn’t handled well. Too band he didn’t.

You should change the name of your blog “Rick Perry Report” and use another name, because as soon as the Hare Krishnas see the word Perry they go frantic with all kinds of accusations against Perry, with anger steaming out of their collective ears.

Despite all the innuendos and allegations made against Perry, they can’t bring any sexual harassment scandals against him. Perry never used his CEO status to sexually harass anyone, and if anything was in his past we would’ve learned of it by now. A few months ago, Michael Moore offered $1 million to any woman who would come forward with details about having bedded Perry or had an affair with him.

The victim in the Cain case is going to come forward, and sooner or later we will hear from her. She is trying to get a release from the confidentiality clause which under the settlement agreement obligates her to remain silent. Yet, Cain has gone from network to network changing his story, but also badmouthing this woman as a gold digger who wanted a huge amount of money for something he never did, or at worst for something as innocuous as comparing her height to his wife’s height. Such profoundly stupid statement insults my intelligence. There is no sexual harassment in comparing someone’s height to another person's height. I found that not only to be patronizing but utterly unbelievable. Perhaps it is the kind of comment that his followers will offer as 'facts' since they cling to every word he utters.

I want to hear the other side of the story, and I am sure most Americans want to hear it as well.

It is illogical to suggest that these women went after Cain some 15 years ago for political reasons when no one knew at the time that Cain would one day run for political office. I’m interested in finding out if Cain, as the CEO of a big company, exercised his power over subordinate female employees in an unlawful way.

Oh great. Now we’re being lectured about politics on the basis of popular music. That may be the most stupid thing I’ve heard in this political season.
