“All he has ever said ...”

You conveniently forget how he had an opportunity to VETO Texas giving in-state tuition to foreigners living in Texas illegally ? Providing incentives to Mexicans to come to Texas IS an Open Borders ACTION. Actions speak louder than words.

You are mistaken Kellis,

Perry could not have veto’d the in-state tuition bill even if he wanted to.

It was almost unanimous (only 4 votes against)
and it was veto proof.

And they PAY for the tuition. Texas Universities NET PROFIT from the in-state tuition students is over
$ 11 Million dollars. They pay - how is that an incentive? I would bet that college in Mexico is a lot cheaper and they may not want to wait 3 years which is required.

Why do you have to bring up the in-state tuition issue? The issue has been defended in Governor Perry’s favor ad nauseam. Besides, if you really want to know the truth of the matter, the entire immigration issue matters very little with the average American voter right now. When compared to the other issues, only 4% think immigration is an important issue. The top issue is employment. And if we had good economic times, immigration would hardly be a blip on the radar screen.
