Concealed carry is nothing more than the government turning a 2nd amendment right into something you need a permit for.

Why does the citizen need permission from the State to defend his life or the life of others effectively? He doesn't.

That's why we a national Constitutional carry bill introduce on Capitol Hill that simply clarifies and reinforces the 2nd Amendment.

So far there are four States with Constitutional carry.

1. Vermont
2. Alaska
3. Arizona
4. Wyoming (as of July 1, 2011)

Small steps. In my state, a permit is required, and even then open carry is a “no-no” (While open carry is “legal”, any crime committed with a gun .. even holstered, can become a felony. Felony charges have your guns taken away (With a big struggle to get them back, if at all) and a conviction ends up with your permit being revoked) (This includes “disturbing the peace” which is also a large grey area)

First, get the people armed. Watch crime fall, and the people spend money on guns. Then push a little more. And a little more. Very few states have actually had success in this glacial movement, but things are looking up in other states.

People keep saying "baby steps"... And it's working, sort of. Eventually, people realize that "blood in the streets" just doesn't happen.

In the meantime, how many rapes, robberies, and murders happen that could have otherwise been prevented?

We all KNOW what is Right to do here. We just need to force Government to respect the Charter that allows them their power and to reestablish the limits they are supposed to exercise it under.

And we need to impose those limits on those agents of government, by force if necessary.

We don’t have many living burglars in Alaska.. or car jackers.. or muggars..
Even the women are packin here..

Snatch some Grannys purse and who knows what can happen..
Also many “iceholes” get shot yearly as well...

The bad guys look for the weak to attack, BUT the weak one may be packin....
Alaska has the most confused bad guys of any State..

Vermont would be the same except even the good guys there are confused.

Nice idea. I applaud you for it, but how, exactly do we do that? Go to Washington with our guns?

Over the last decade (at least), legislatures in all 50 states have become more pro-gun and more gun rights friendly; like a rising tide.

I wish every state had Constitutional Carry tomorrow, but it ain't a perfect world.

I've had my carry PERMIT since 2001; does it bother me that I must go to my government for PERMISSION to exercise this right? H*ll yes. But I've been carrying since 2001. That to me is a plus.

If that is what we need to do, then yes. It worked for the Founding Fathers didn't it?

Well, good luck with that. If you are actually considering driving to Washington DC, armed and with your buddies — I suggest you might want to think about adjusting your meds.

I suggest you might want to think about the word “cowardice” and how it might apply to getting our Republic back.

Looks like Obama and his “buddies” are already on the march. I would never ask you to come with us, if necessary, but would you REALLY want to stay home?
