I don’t know, Stockdale seemed pretty bad. He pretty much immolated himself as well.

The problem is if he can’t remember which 3 agencies he wants to axe, does he even know why he wants to get rid of them? If he really knew which programs he wants to shut down, he should have been able to think about the results, and then name or at least describe the agency. It is called thinking on your feet.

Imagine the chatter in the White House tonight, and how they would want this fellow as their opponent. Perhaps their only last chance to keep the Presidency. I would imagine that is the scuttlebutt. So expect the smear machine against Herman Cain to kick up a few notches over the next few days, mark my word (the one they DO NOT want to run against).

Maybe it’s time to give GOP candidate Buddy Roemer a chance to debate, most of the others are fading fast, or at least their programs are not catching fire, or else are going down in flames.

“..I watched the entire debate, and he did a good job..”

You and I must not have watched the same debate. If tonite was his only bum performance you might have a talking point, but his debate performances have been in the bottom tier ever since his first debate. Face it, he’s proven he’s not ready for prime time.

At least Greta isn’t skewering Perry tonight for his debate performance. I just read this post from her on Greta Wire at Fox:

“I know everyone in the media – especially comedians – are going to jump all over the tape from tonight’s debate where Governor Rick Perry could not remember the 3rd agency he would eliminate if President. I think there are far more substantive criticisms we can make of candidates than a slip up like that. If we are to judge a candidate totally on a slip up (and remember, President Obama said there were 57 or 58 states and others have also made slip ups…and yes, I, too have forgotten things and maybe you have, too), we are making a mistake in how we evaluate people for this high office. “

“At this point, all he is doing is giving Aggies a bad name.”

Actually, he is just corroborating the bad name Aggies have had since the 1860s, enhanced by soon becoming the new Vanderbilt of the SEC.

Perry’s gaffe tonight will definitely direct media attention, to some degree, AWAY from the accusations against Herman Cain.

Perry is our only hope of keeping Romney from winning the nomination.

-Cain is imploding from a sex scandal.
-Newt will never win over evangelicals.

I’m interested in hearing what the Perry-winkles on this website have to say about his debate gaffe tonight. Will they still defend Rick Perry and try to tell us that he should be the GOP nominee who will have to debate the silver-tongued Obama?

I absolutely LOVE this photo. In light of tonight's historic events. Still cannot stop laughing when I look at it. It begs for captions.

It looks like Perry is sexually harassing Cain.

(And Herman’s not happy)

Now that this liberal pro-illegal immigration candidate has just screwed up a campaign that had no chance before this, needs to drop out since he's just hurting his image now instead of raising his profile. He's just raising his profile as a clown these days. He might as well endorse Herman Cain, even though it won't mean much, but might sway some of the Perry supporters who refuse to face reality, even though I think a good portion of those “supporters”, on FR are actually Romney supporters who just want to hurt Herman Cain. Regardless of what you thought of Perry, this should confirm what most of us already knew; his campaign has been a lost cause for awhile now.

In Cain you have the complete opposite of Perry on illegal immigration which is one reason I'm supporting him. I think Cain is good on economic issues, and I especially like his views on stopping illegal immigration, which has sadly been unheard of when it comes to Presidential front runners. Let's elect a guy who's right on all the major issues, including one of the most ignored and serious problems facing the nation.
