Once again, I am not defending him but defending our system of law.
Article III Section 2:
The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment, shall be by Jury; and such Trial shall be held in the State where the said Crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within any State, the Trial shall be at such Place or Places as the Congress may by Law have directed.
Is child molestation a crime? Of course it is.
Has he been tried by a jury? No.
Will he be able to find an impartial jury? With all nationwide news coverage make that gossip coverage its doubtful. That alone might get him off.
Casey Anthony...She was acquitted on murder charge.
It was discussed on every news cast.
Crime boards galore were daily calling for her head.
You have a right to a presumption of innocence in court..but people have a right to express opinions outside of court.
You are defending him based upon the ludicrous misconception that we as private citizens, by assessing his likely guilt, are denying him his right to a jury trial.
That is idiotic.
Do you think there was no need to discuss the likely guilt of OJ before his trial, and absolutely no need to talk about his likely guilt after his acquittal?
DO YOU?
Twelve years ago I guess Paterno adopted your philosophy.
Stay quiet, don't question, don't make waves, don't assess probable guilt, don't think twice about a guy caught repeatedly in the shower with young boys parading a bevy of young boys around your football program for OVER A DECADE!!!!
Yeah, that worked out well for all concerned./s
