If we are 15 trillion in debt, and are spending over 1 trillion more than we take in each year....in ten years we will be at 25 trillion+ in debt.
So how is a trillion dollars in new revenue/cuts made OVER a ten year period going to do anything?
Even if we raised taxes a trillion dollars a year immediately, we would still be going deeper into debt.
Its all deck chairs on the titanic. The Dems want chairs on the left, the GOP want them on the right, the people fight over who is correct and the band plays on...

I would love to hear Republicans say that. Fact is if we gave every tax payer a 100% tax increase we would grow our deficit not decrease it.
