I was one of those idiots at Walmart last night. Yes, I had lost my mind. I got there just before 10:00 when the first non-electronics door buster stuff was released for sale. The place was packed.

Those pretty much sold out in 5-10 minutes, followed by a mad dash to the cash registers. Some folks came back to wait for the TV’s, computers and electronics to be released at midnight. Walmart had a good system of spreading the electronics sales throughout the entire store. Same thing, as before. People got what they wanted from the circular and that was pretty much it.
There was no room to look at add-ons. The food section was all but closed to grocery shoppers as well as soaps, and toilet paper.
I went for the sheets, but I was too late. So I came home with a $248 dollar laptop, which I will probably take back in a few weeks. So I wasted a few hours at Wallyworld and got to see my fellow humans in all their midnight glory.

Bought a new shower head at home depot today. Does that count as black Friday? Is “black Friday” a racist term?

At least a Walmart greeter didn’t get trampled to death by the bargain-seeking mobs.

Do you notice they say this every single year on Black Friday, but then when the numbers actually come in, they are pretty weak. That’s what I expect this year. I was out and about today..it wasn’t crazy like in years past at all.

Why would you buy a laptop if you plan on returning it?

Because it wasn’t on the list of things to get. Therefore it will have to be budgeted around if I decide to keep it. It’ll be around until I see how the rest of the list and the money goes.
