Yes, I’m a Virginian. I don’t recall Rick Perry or any other Texan claiming that the border is secure and safe. In fact, Perry has said it isn’t. If you’re serious about it then we best do as you suggest: elect someone who knows something about it. I think Rick Perry is tops on that list.
