It’s due to the political system we currently inhabit. Sure there are many other parties, but in our two-party legislature different groups have to congeal with the party they find that their beliefs align.
Which is why Communists/Socialists (Maxine Waters, BHO) have joined the democratic party and Libertarians (Ron Paul, Jeff Flake) affiliate themselves more closely with Republicans.

I can answer why Walters is in the Dem party just like many of her socialist pals.
Long time ago they wanted to take over a party and boy did they do that.

As for libertarians running on a republican ticket using our debates , CPAC etc well I ma curious as to why.
Do they look to impose and take over like the socialist have with the Dems?
I don’t know and that is why I asked you as a libertarian.
Surely you must see that libertarians views are not socially or internally in line with the GOP but they are not in line fiscally with the left so why not set your own debates, your own ticket and get your message out that way .
I can only speak for me and others who I know or who I have talked to on here and at conservative events but conservatives are getting pissed off .
