Interesting ideas. The reports I got is that Iran hacked into the control program of the Drone and landed it on one of their airfields. They may have sent phantom information to make our remote control operator think the Drone was in the air and still flying—just not responding. That would allow Iranian hackers to get the Drone and disable it before some kind of destruct mechanism was triggered. If there was no such destruct mechanism, that’s egg on our face. Without pinpointing where it landed, we were out of luck launching an attack to destroy the entire landing area.

The alarming aspect of this incident is that the operating software has been hacked. How did we let such top secret information get compromised? Heads should roll over this one.

"Reports"? Are you referring to things you've read online, or some other source?
