My rage can be barely contained - my one-way ticket to the Internment camp is coming soon. It won't be to sunny Gitmo, but a cold bleak gulag - check out GoArmy.com - they are already recruiting for Detention Center guards.

Let them use this in any arbitrary or questionable manner. The can do so - once!

Last time I checked, a statute does not supersede the U.S. Constitution and the protections therein.

However, there is already precedent for suspending Habeas Corpus — Abraham Lincoln did it during the Civil War.

Obama is no Abraham Lincoln.

They’re gonna need a lot more space than they’ve got.

“Has this passed the House?”

Yes it is heading to the president... Oh and that beloved hero of the tea party Col West supported and voted for it.... The man is a fraud... The republican party is a fraud.... we are on our own

So the question is asked yet again ...

What can WE do in the face of such BLATANT and OBVIOUS violations of the Constitution?

Short of open revolt, which would bring hellfire down on our heads, what the hell can WE do about this latest outrage?

I expect calls for throwing the bastards out of office will be our angry response. Again.

It certainly made a mockery of the old slogan, "We're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here."

Interesting that language that could have clarified who would be subject to this law was not included. There was an amendment that was not included :(

These are the seven Senators that voted against it. To think that Senator Paul and Senator Sanders would be in agreement on this issue is amazing. I would have thought they would have been worlds apart.

Sen. Thomas Coburn (R-OK)
Sen. Thomas Harkin (D-IA)
Sen. Mike Lee (R-OK)
Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR)
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)
Sen. Bernard Sanders (I-VT)
Sen. Ronald Wyden (D-OR)

Ah, so many heads still in the sand I see.

It can’t happenn here? Look at what has happened already.
By the time people are scared enough to fight it will be too late.

True Americans only want to go about their everyday business and live their lives in peace.

So we wait and wait for the next election. We have got to win!

WE ARE AMERICA!
0 and company will most likely finance a third party
to take away votes from Republicans.
A third party= keeping 0Mao. IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?

Get together America—or we done.

They can't lock up everyone--there isn't enough space on the base at Guantanamo.

So as long as you don't publicly criticize Obama or Eric Holder, you're probably safe.

This is supposed to be directed against al-Qaeda terrorists, but we already know that the Democratic Party higher-ups consider the Tea Party a terrorist outfit. Al-Qaeda is bad, so therefore it must be racist. Anyone who criticizes Obama or Holder is a racist, so they must be al-Qaeda sympathizers. So Obama can lock them up, but he isn't "required" to do so.
