That explains the two power outages in Candlestick Park tonight.

Reading the Headline, I assumed the Mayor was shutting down all the Mexican Restaurants for a week and outlawing sales of Beer and Sauerkraut.

"Right now it’s 49 degrees in the Bay area and winds are NNW @ 5 MPH.

The smoke blows away."

Their excuse for this is that the smoke travels to the Central Valley and annoys the people there.

They rely on the ignorance and gullibility of the idiots to further their agenda. But I preach to the choir.

April 25, 1995: Bay Is Largest Area to Meet U.S. Ozone Goals: But region falls short on state rules

Federal regulators gave the Bay Area a clean-air stamp of approval Monday, saying the nine- county region not only meets federal guidelines for smog-forming ozone for the first time, but is the biggest metropolitan area in the nation to make the mark.

[clip]

The only damper is that California has even tougher standards for ozone than the federal government, and the Bay Area exceeded the state standard 14 times last year. ``But in 1969, we exceeded it 90 times,'' said Feldstein, ``so that is a lot of progress.''

CARB has been out of control for 16 years.
