Oh yes, because we saw how well NEGOTIATIONS went in the Stupid Committee... uh *Super* Committee.
GREAT idea, Mitch!
Once again the Republicans are made to look like fools by the Democrats which continues to show who is most cunning, media-supported of course, in D.C.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has just offered a way for Boehner to cut his own throat.
The weaker Boehner is, the more influence McConnell has over the House. McConnell can work with a Dem-RINO bloc of votes.
Right, Mitch. Let’s get those mortgage fees put permanently into law in return for Harry Reid’s promises.
Where do we find these leaders?? Dole, Lott, Frist, McConnell. Not a dimes worth of difference between them.
No wonder they hate Newt, who called Dole the tax collector for the welfare state.
Well, someone better help Boehner out, because by himself he’s even less competent than Obama. Thanks to the inability of Boehner and Cantor to control their members, the Republicans have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Again.
OK before you argue the point, think back and tell me - just when has even ONE of Boehner’s great strategeries ever worked out?
They’re going to give Obama credit for cutting taxes and risk losing the House, is what they’re going to do....
A way out? Boehner doesn’t need a way out. He made the right call. Perhaps it’s the Senate Republicans that voted along with Harry Reid who are in need of a ‘way out’.
Total capitulation is a ‘way out’? Hey, Mitch. I’ve got a ‘way out’ for you. You and your Democrat friends drag your sorry asses back to Washington and do your damn job.
What is the over/under on Boehner caving?
” - - - He’s calling on Speaker of the House John Boehner to give in - - - “
Way to snatch defeat from the jaws of Victory, Son-of-a-Mitch McConnell!!!!!!!!
Your stupid cave-in to “Bottleneck” Reid insures that small businesses will have to calculate 2/3 of a payroll tax check since payroll taxes are paid on a quarterly basis, and no Government forms now exist for that type of payment.
In other words, “Bottleneck” Reid outsmarted you AGAIN by getting you to agree to the most expensive, and most unworkable “deal” possible, and then conning you into accusing Boehner of a financial mess that you helped create.
Do you Mitch, even recognize that you are so gullible, that you need to get out of politics NOW, and get a real job? Maybe selling used cars?
Because you have now joined Senator Reid’s Socialist-Democrat Party, do you feel proud of the fact that you have sabotaged your former Republicans in the House of Representatives? From now on we should refer to you as “Turncoat” Mitch McConnell, the senator from Tennessee who can always be counted on to betray his fellow Republicans.
Since you, Mitch, refuse to accept responsibility for your destructive actions, it would be best if you would immediately resign as Minority Leader of the US Senate.
BTW, when you call upon a Republican to give in, we see you for the Socialist-Democrat coward that you really are.
“Heads you win, tails I lose” McConnell is my hero....not!
“...House Republicans, who are badly losing the public relations war..”
Seems like the Pubbies are always loosing the PR war.
Can someone explain to me why they only want to give the tax extension for 2 years? Are these Republicans feeling this way too??
Can someone explain to me why they only want to give the tax extension for 2 MONTHS? Are these Republicans feeling this way too??
Reid Friendship With McConnell Helps Bridge Gaps That Ideology Might Widen
He’s going to cave, and he has to cave.
The average mouth breather out there doesn’t understand that a two month extension is essentially impossible for either business or government to implement. They don’t and they won’t.
However, they do understand their taxes going up $1K per year next year, and old people understand not getting access to a doctor.
I know Boehner is caught between his Tea Party constituent in the House and political reality. Boehner’s right, his Tea Party members are right, and if they hold out on principle here, they’ll be dead right.
It’s ‘Cake for Breakfast’ time here in the USA. We don’t care about the consequences anymore. As long as the boomers get their benefits, nobody, appparently is going to get hurt.
