"As long as the boomers get their benefits, nobody, appparently is going to get hurt.

I remember a time when we were told social security would not be around when we retire so for retirement to start investing in the 401K Plan. So we paid our FICA (social security) even though we knew it would not be around when we retired and invested in the 401K.

The majority of our young men just out of High School went to Viet Nam because our Government said so. Those that did survive, came home to no parades but to be spit upon and called baby killers while those few with rich parents went to college, protested, did drugs and had sex with every Tom, Dick & Henrietta.

Some of us married, raised families while others went to work right after graduating High School. Why? Because we had the sole responsibility to support ourselves. There were even some of us that held a full time job while going to college while some went with their GI Bill which they earned and deserved by serving our country while called upon. They went strictly to get an education and not to party.

I am a baby boomer that has paid in to FICA (Social Security) for over 45 years and still paying but yet I am selfish. I also paid into a 401K which I see being shrunk and the Government threatening to take over. Meanwhile, there are those that never paid into Social Security but are getting benefits but I never hear a beep or complaint about them but only the selfish baby boomers. Chances are if Obamacare goes into effect, you will not have to worry about us selfish boomers getting our so called "benefits".

Any way, what do I know, I'm just just a selfish baby boomer.......

Sorry, everyone knew the math didn’t work, and yet did not take responsibility to fix the system while there was still a chance in hell of fixing it.

The reason why the boomers are completely responsible for this is because they knew it was coming and did nothing about it.

Worse, they knew it was coming, and stuck the check with their grandkids, knowing they couldn’t pay either.

Now we are at the point where not only can we not pay, but we are now at the point of asking ourselves whether we should.

“We had a deal!” isn’t a defense, since the deal was made among the wolves, while the lambs were out playing in the yard well before they attained voting age.

I make deals with myself all the time. Usually its about losing weight, or something of that caliber.

I don’t make deals with myself that my kids are going to have to clean up after.

So, there it is. Boomers stuck it to their kids and really didn’t care. Now they are at the point where ‘We had a deal!’ is their defense.

No contract is valid when one party to it can’t legally enter into it. Congress - 50 years of them - signed their kids names to the contract and expect them to honor it.

Don’t be surprised when the day comes where they all realize that’s precisely the case.

To be more precise, this is mostly the fault of liberals buying votes to hold power in congress lo these many years. They simply figured out how to twist a representative democracy into mob rule - two wolves and a sheep deciding what’s for dinner.
