My Christmas Eve dinner tradition: Grilled Tenderloin with mesquite wood chips, sour cream mashed potatoes, fresh grilled green beans, cranberry jelly and a nice Cab or Merlot. My dogs get an extra special meal ground beef, brown rice, carrots and raw green beans. They LOVE it.

Lamb with rice pilaf, asparagus and home made eggnog. The rest varies. This year it was butternut squash with apple, chipolle and cinnamon, yellow squash with tomatoes and a spinach salad.

Sounds good! I'm allergic to shrimp though. One of my all-time favorite foods is a fried shrimp Po-Boy.

My husband's family used to make what they called "Oyster Pie" which was a sort of oyster casserole, I think made with canned oysters. I actually liked it myself but never got the recipe and don't think my husband ever ate it. One of my sons probably would, the other probably not.

My family was never much on seafood. Fried fish was more our thing and that wasn't holiday food.

Christmas Eve it’s Prime Rib. Christmas morning I always make Bacon-Cheese Brunch. Christmas dinner at in-laws is either turkey or ham and, for dessert, Cranberry Steamed Pudding with hard sauce! yum!

Merry Christmas everybody!

Just out of curiosity: does your nom de plume come from Jerry Lewis? He was famous for saying “Hey Lady!”

Christmas Eve was well-marbled Ribeyes on the grill, baked Scallops in garlic & butter, French Bread, tossed salad and Raspberry Cheesecake for dessert.

New Years Eve will be Alfredo Lasagna, French Bread, Romaine Salad and Orange Cranberry Muffins...which will also cover breakfast too...along with Mimosas! :)
