Posted on 12/25/2011 10:34:22 AM PST by Walmartian
The hackers known as Anonymous, who helped organize and support the Occupy Wall Street protests this past fall, claim to have stolen emails and credit card numbers from Stratfor, the highly respected U.S. security think tank
I believe it was them and Lulzsec that organized the brooklyn bridge protest.
Is this all covered under free speech or expression?
They couldn’t have gotten that many, because I stopped by the other day and took a bunch.
Hackers said they were able to get credit card numbers because they weren’t encrypted. It would be interesting to to find out if they got server access or just database access.
Tyler Twitted this.
RT @AnonymousIRC: Merry #LulzXmas, someone just gave us this pastebin.com/bQ2YHDdw
“from Stratfor, the highly respected U.S. security think tank”
BigGovernment.com is turning into just another tabloid whirlednutzdaily type outfit.
(If you don’t know what I’m talking about, there are hundreds if not thousands of FR threads in the archives where StratFor has predicted 579 of the last 12 regional military conflicts.)
What does Stratfor have to do with Occupy protests?
I got notified via email last night that my account was part of this but I do not have a paid subscription. This is why I NEVER
do online financial transactions..NEVER..
I used to get their news letter via e-mail but I cancelled last month. I checked and didn’t find my name.
Lucky you. Now i gotta pworry about what arrives in my email account, if you know what i mean.
Looks like they got root access.
I think i will contact the FBI and the calif DOJ on Monday asking themwhat i should do.
Since they are supporters of Paul Guess he’s going to have another money bomb.
Why would these sicko’s bother with this?
Stratfor make the whitehouse nervous?
Will they be giving the information toe their bosses/supporters in the Administration?
Will they be giving the information to their bosses/supporters in the Administration?
Didn’t they claim they were going to crash Wall Street’s computers?
I got hacked.
Terribly vulnerable feeling.
My son had to wipe my computer of everything.
I think all hackers should be killed.
Then their families and should be infected with a virus that can be removed for $59.95, at Best Buy
I’m serious...I never wanted someone to die so bad, as when I got hacked.
Maybe there was the typical governemental security strategy. A public ftp server and a text message like “Top Secret! Just for authorized personell”.
