So we need 11 carrier groups because of the barbary pirates? I don’t follow.
I just don’t get the fear of countries across the world, when we have opened our borders and are actively encouraging a foreign invasion from the south. Countries thousands of miles away don’t scare me as much as the Mexican invasion does.
I don’t know what Paul says about that- that is my own opinion. Please don’t delete my account if I am agreeing with Paul.
Paul’s views on illegal immigration are along the lines of “how can it be illegal?”
This is about the fourth time you’ve popped up claiming to be ignorant of common knowledge here, then begging for forgiveness of your trespasses. That dog won’t hunt dude!

An example of how 11 carrier groups might be deployed, to have ships on the scene to prevent piracy.
A first carrier group is in the Gulf, in part because of threats by Iran to close the Straits of Hormuz.
A second in the Indian Ocean, perhaps you have heard of the Somali pirates?
A third in the Mediterranean, able to prevent piracy in the home of the historical Barbary Pirates, and their successors in Libya, Syria, Algeria, Egypt.
A fourth in the south Pacific. There is a significant pirate threat in Indonesia and the Philippines.
A fifth in the north Pacific, perhaps you have heard of North Korea?
A sixth in transit to or from a place of deployment
A seventh in the north Atlantic.
An eighth at Norfolk, training.
A ninth at Puget Sound, San Francisco, or San Diego training.
A tenth in San or Hawaii training.
An 11th in maintenance, or refit.
An enlightening study: Look up the USS Saratoga in WWII. She was in maintenance, and unable to participate in Midway. The US started the war with 7 aircraft carriers, to include the old converted collier Langley (CV-1).
