“Sarah Palins proposal to be featured yet again on a reality television show about Alaska that (this time) would showcase the wild adventures of her husband Todd [as her snowmobiling sidekick] were snuffed after she shopped the idea around to a variety of networks.”
While I am not a network executive, I would think that a show based on a middle-aged guy riding a snowmobile would capture a very large number of viewers and top the Nielsen ratings.
Don't Worry, I am sure Destiny isn't finished with Sarah yet (especially of ORomney gets the Whig Nomination, then I suspect we Sarah Supporters will be quiet busy)
She's building a resume'!
I have a soft spot for Jewel, because she did something that gave me great amusement. She wrote a book of poetry.
It was not particularly good poetry. It was the kind of poetry that a 17 year old girl would write. But every 17 year old girl in the US who read it loved it, because it spoke to them at a very deep level.
So it sold an insane number of copies. And that’s the reason I like it. Because it outsold the work of the top 50 professional modern US poets combined.
All of whom write dour, miserable, whiny, trendy, anti-American, depressing, but technically accurate, for the most part, poetry. They hardly sell any, except to other professional poets of their kind, and students who are taking poetry classes and are required to read it, and the pretentious who want it on their bookshelf just for the dust cover, but never read it.
But there are now women in their late 20’s who can recite Jewels poems, and it still makes them feel good after a decade or more. And they will probably encourage their own daughters to read it, and they will love it, too.
And I got to see a group of these professional poets who were bitter and so filled with bile against Jewel. They cursed her poems, and they cursed her. They criticized and nit picked about her lack of technical proficiency and unprofessional style. All told they wished she had a pimple on her nose or worse.
This I enjoyed. Watching these self-important professors of the poetic arts squirm.
How the heck can Palin lose a show on the Disney Channel when her show wasn’t ever on Disney?
New York, Dec 19 (ANI): Sarah Palin is ready to get back to work as a reality TV star with a new series of Alaska.Producer Mark Burnett has revealed that he is in talks with TLC to bring Sarah Palins Alaska back for a second season next fall.
The plan would be to shoot this in the summer of 2012, he told the New York Post.
New episodes of the outdoorsy reality series which shows the former vice-presidential candidate fishing, hunting and dog sledding with her family would not air until after the November presidential election.
By the time we edit it, the election will be over. But I am sure the election would be mentioned [in the show], Burnett stated.
