I think the younger crowd doesn’t quite understand what a Conservative is anymore :/ and some of the older crowd too have lost focus... :p

Yep. I know a few people who are liberal on social issues but fiscally “conservative” so they think they are conservatives. We usually get into knock down drag out fights over social issues and because I tell them they aren’t really conservatives at all.
Interestingly, we moved from CA to the Midwest a few years ago (rural town) and the “liberals” here are more conservative than the “moderate Republicans” in CA.
I know, my dog is a cutee and a conservative, he would smoke Obama :D
But on a serious note, I agree with you about romney in every respect, and I feel similarly about ron paul. Neither of these people are anyone whom I would want to vote for at all ever.
However, should we face the unfortunate situation of having either one of them as our nominee, I will vote for either over Obama. I have to, it will make me puke, but I have to.

I’m not fond of anyone out their either, but I will not vote for Romney. Newt, probably, Santorum most likely, but I live in one of the later primary states so at that point it may not matter and I will vote AGAINST Romney both in the Primary and in the General.
I know too much about the guy to ever vote for him.

I have to wonder if due to the American education system putting out people too uneducated to realize that FR is a site for conservatives; will then (God help us all) “President Romney” provide their pathetically confused selves with an internet capable GPS able to direct them to a site like DU where their liberalism, unadmitted though it may be, will serve them better?

I’d really love to see Santorum catch fire at this point. I may go ahead and vote for him here in FL. I’m nervous about his chances, but then again I’m nervous about everyone’s chances, especially my chances.
I am aware that a game is being played to give us a nominee that will spilt us and cause us to allow Obama to be reeclected, and I really, really want to avoid that scenario.
The only way I can see at this time to avoid that playing out is to say that I will vote for Obama’s opponent without regard to whom it is and without regard to my personal level of distaste for such person.
I do not want to, under any conceivable circumstance, give this commie homo muslim 4 years to do whatever he wants or thinks he can get away with without answer. That would be the end of us I believe. This is really a terrific hellish problem, but Obama has to go.
