You are correct, but it is We the People who will not tell these marginal, never going to win candidates to get out of the race. We also have 20% who are insane like Paul. The GOP elite and stupid voters are dooming our country. The only person people should back is the candidate who can turn our country around. If that is not done and I don't think it will happen with this election, all other issues are irrelevant.

If Free Republic is any measure, I find the electorate to be depressingly fractionalized. There is a major Perry contingent here...there are rabid Newters. There was even several FReepers pushing Bachmann and Santorum hard when they were at 5%. It's a bad setup, and it isn't the candidates/ Romney and Paul aren't going anywhere soon, so that leaves room for exactly ONE conservative to compete against them. I personally think we slit our own wrists when we helped assassinate Newt. Sigh...
