I have always liked Newt. I thought he was unelectable, but now I’m not so sure. If he gains the nomination, we will find out what this country is made of because I have no doubt he will not cave like McCain did and act like running for president was just another civics lesson. No perfect candidate exists and I have been going back and forth over these few months, so I’m going with the smartest and most tenacious. That is not to say I wouldn’t support Perry or Santorum, I would in a heartbeat in a one-on-one with The One.

Agreed. Both Gingrich and Santorum outshine Perry in terms of experience, credentials, and gravitas. Perry far outstrips Romney in all of the above. How can people forget that Romney ran an inept campaign against Kennedy and got landslided, and then was a four and out governor of the root of evil in the modern world. Those are NO credentials. What has he done, run the Olympics? Had a famous dad? Romeny can go screw. He doesn’t belong there.
