I’ve successively supported Cain, then Perry, but the choices are getting difficult now.

Ron Paul - domestic ideas are fairly solid but due to foreign policy he is DOA in my books. Can’t vote for him.

Newt - insider politician, family values laughable, egotistical, lobbyist, divisive. No executive experience.

Rick Santorum - thinks in big government solutions by default, too much of an emphasis on family values when the economy and foreign matters should be a strength instead. No executive experience.

Perry - like the guy, but polling at 1% and I don’t think he has the intellectual fire-power to take on O.

I can’t see for the life of me why Mitt is such a bad option. He understands the economy, has served as a savy business executive for years, and has some good ideas about how to decrease unemployment. He’s squeaky clean and has a good family, no moral skeletons in the closet. He’s a member of a minority religion, so he will definitely protect our freedom of individual right to worship as we please. On healthcare, he did what he thought should be done at state level in MA, and has said repeatedly that the federal government should leave those decisions on the state level; he has specifically said he would repeal Obamacare.

Given the mess that the economy is in, I have a hunch that the tables will continue to tilt in Romney’s favor..I wish Cain were still in, but I can’t see why Romney is such a horrible option...I’m keeping my eyes open and evaluating info as it comes out, so definitely not a so-called Romneybot here, lol.

What are you talking about? George Romney and his family were so poor, they were digging potatoes to stay alive. He was a self-made man and did not really make any money until Mitt, the youngest, was about 12 or 13. Before that, his Dad was working his way up the ladder just like millions of other Americans. George, the father, was a hard worker, a go getter, and had the gift of gab that made him a spokesman for the auto industry during WWII. But he was married and his eldest 2 children were born pre-War and it was very much still the Depression. He lived the American Dream of that era, no college degree, self-made, pulled himself out of poverty and up the ladder to be a CEO and get elected to the Governorship of Michigan and in later life HUD Secretary. He taught his children to be frugal, industrious, and to respect the value of a dollar.
