Here’s another gem from Black Elk, I can’t stop myself from copying them, this is so excellent:

From this thread:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2834045/posts?page=1#1

BlackElk:

If the GOP does not want to cause mass defections of pro-life conservatives, pro-family conservatives, interventionist conservatives, pro-gun conservatives, anti-bailout conservatives, Tea Party conservatives, then the bozos who run the GOP had better find a way to dump the Mittwit once and for all. It is not my ambition to be an enabler of the trust fund American community any longer. McCain was the last straw.

AND a replacement party will be no joy to the Ron Paul surrender mongers, conspiracy theorists, earmarkers, and two-faced phonies who CLAIM to be pro-life and pro-family but whose records show them to be bald-faced liars. We are quite unlikely to adopt Paul’s strange brew of McGovern’s peacecreepism, and the desire of GOP money obsessives to be nice to our enemies, kiss their backsides, genuflect before them and make the world safe for “free trade” which means destroying American jobs for people not born to the class of the Romneys so as to increase those protected corporate dividends and capital gains while destroying the lives of ordinary Americans. “Just learn to be an investment banker” after we send your factory job to Bangladesh (where the anti-American investment bankers pay their wage slaves 7 cents an hour and no benefits: oooooh, yummy profits) is not a prescription for economic recovery for our country.

We may not have Sarah Palin as our nominee (although it would be a very good idea) but I, for one, am not going to put up with voting for the Mittwit, a man with neither a heart nor a brain nor a soul. If this country simply MUST be ruined, it will be ruined by Demonrats and the plutocrats can pay for it. Posing as Republicans, they want to surrender to the Demonrats on every issue that counts. They need to be punished too and Obozo will take care of that. Sarah or no Sarah, we WILL have red meat and we will NOT have an elitist GOP POTUS too cowardly to bash Obozo as he needs to be bashed.

Alternatively the trust fund babies who are in bed with the lamestream media to tout the “inevitability” of the Mittwit with the LSM salivating over how Mittwit will be absolute roadkill in November and in any debate with even Obozo and will probably prevent a GOP takeover of the Senate and restore Pelosi’s rule as Speaker of the House.

Does any actual conservative shiv a git what Muffy down at the Junior League and Skipper at the Snobbington Polo Club think should be our nominee. They would share a nervous breakdown in front of their leftist and equally brainless pals if once again, the GOP has nominated a pro-baby, pro-family, pro-gun, military interventionist, etc., social conservative. They would be sooooo humiliated. And a good thing, too. It is about time they realized that the GOP is not and long has not been the party of their legendary great, great, great-grandaddy Ebenezer Q. Pennypincher and his Unitarian soulmates down at the Abolition Club and, if it tries to be, then it will be destroyed like the Whigs and Federalists before it.

It is purely up to the spoiled and privileged and their paid political lackeys like Tokyo Rove to get off this despicable drive to nominate Romney by mountains of money and connivance with the LSM for shameless propaganda’s sake. If they don’t, he, they and the GOP (and maybe the nation) will be destroyed this November. Conservatives and other patriots will then go back to the drawing board and do to the elitist establishmentarian spaghetti spines what Aaron Burr did to Hamilton (figuratively speaking), what Jefferson did to the Federalist money obsessive ancestors of the Romneybots and Andrew Jackson and others did to the Whig money obsessive ancestors of the Romneybots. Note that Mr. Newt favorably cited Andrew Jackson in last night’s Fox Debate.

AND, you have the gilt-edged nerve in support of the spineless and brainless spoiled child of privilege Mittwit to call Antoninus stupid??? I don’t think anyone planning to defect (as I certainly will if he is nominated) from Romney on actually conservative grounds will EVER have anything whatever to do with the social issue dishonesty and foreign policy of Ron Paul or with anything involved with Alan Simpson, an enthusiastic supporter of baby-killing when serving in the Senate. The alternative is voting for Senate, Governor, Congress and state legislature, for conservative positions on ballot questions and letting the Mittwit swing by the neck in the wind for lack of votes. The other alternative is for the GOP to man up and dump the Mittwit.

Mitt Romney, devoid of brain, spine and heart is the personal embodiment of the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz. We don’t need to be responsible for putting this worthless putz in the White House. He is also a soulless cannibal trying to feed off the GOP carcass. It is said that Reagan got a lot of votes because he was the one candidate whom you would gladly have as a dinner or barbeque guest, that he had many qualities that made you as comfortable with him as you were with the guy next to you at work, and no resemblance to the boss who fired you. Romney is the anti-Reagan in all of those respects and he has never had a shred of actual principle in his entire worthless life.

How many votes of social conservatives being withheld from Romney will render him toast. Care to find out the hard way? Nominate the Mittwit and you will.

BlackElk, I don’t post very often. However, this post, whether a vanity or not, hit a nerve for me. I am having a great deal of difficulty swallowing CONSERVATIVES voting for Romney. Supposedly a majority of this country is conservative, more fool me, as I can’t tell that from the voting.

As a conservative, I want a conservative revival - I can’t even define what Romney stands for, not a single thing! And I am supposed to vote for him?

I am ashamed and angry at Republicans for the lead Romney has received in voting so far. I am scared, worried and defiant, all at the same time.

How can I support the continued takeover of our lives by a massive increase in federal power and largess - by holding my nose and voting for Romney? Like hell.

Like little jeremiah, I already tried that for the last 5 elections. Look where that got us.

Thank you for the posts. Know that it hit me where it hurts.

Rick - out in Idaho.

Black Elk wrote the vanity! I wasn’t clear enough - I can’t express myself that well. I asked him if I could make that comment into a vanity!

I’m just carrying the message.

If Romney should win I will write in Palin and buy a better scope for my rifle.

If Scott County, Iowa affords me the write in option, I think I may just do that too.

My conscience will not allow me to vote for a pro choice candidate period.

Romney says whatever is convenient at the time.

The party over principle voters have no moral values.

I believe in voting pragmatically to a point, but abortion is a line I will not and can not cross and I have heard Mitt with my own ears.

Good luck with all that GOP.

4 more years of Obama is not my fault.

It's the fault of those with no morals.

The GOP is not quite dead to me yet, but it is on life support and I will pull the plug if Mitt gets the nod.

No Romney. Not Now, Not Ever!

With due respect to both of you, Romney is bad, but he’s not like Satan or even as bad as President Obama. I respect those who won’t vote for Mitt if he’s the nominee, but I also respect those who are determined to vote for him to stop Obama. Let’s hope none of us are faced with that horrible choice. As little jeremiah wrote, “What a choice.”

I disagree with the statement that elites are the majority of the Republicans. The elites are a very small minority who hold positions of power in industry, the media, and government. They can try to sell him, but they don’t make up the 25% of Republicans who back Romney. They don’t have the power or numbers to nominate him without rank and file voters.

Romney backers are always asking if conservatives will support Mitt if he’s the nominee. More importantly, are they going to back our guy when Mitt loses?

The elites are the professional Republicans in positions of power. Regular people who vote R are not elites.

And 25% of Republicans DO NOT SUPPORT ROMNEY! A few jerry rigged polls mean NOTHING NADA ZILCH! McCain was FORCED upon us. He wasn't popular among the majority of Rs. And vanity above was written by Black Elk, I posted it.

How do you know 25% of Republicans do not support Romney? I guess we’ll know for sure once we have a closed primary. I believe S. Carolina is open. However, polls have been proven time and time again to be reasonably accurate—not necessarily individual ones, but taken as an aggregate they are.

As for McCain, I don’t know how you can reasonably claim McCain was forced upon us. If he wasn’t popular with the majority of Rs, how did he acquire enough delegates to win the nomination? Are you claiming McCain would have lost if all of the primaries were closed? As I recall, only Romney and Huckabee offered any serious competition to McCain.

My point isn’t to be argumentative. It’s just that there are rank and file Republicans who support moderate candidates. A lot of people foolishly vote based on electability. I hate the electability argument. No one really knows the future. Political winds change...rapidly. Plus, moderate Republicans don’t have a very good track record of actually winning the presidency, and centrists seem to make electability the prime criteria for their votes. Electability is important, but it’s definitely not more important than ideology, right?

Mittens will be the nominee. It is his turn to loose.

The game is rigged. Mitt and Obama are the same on most positions. In fact, Mitt is to the left of Obama on many things.

Yet he is going to get the nod. The out right fraud in the Iowa caucuses was revealing to me. The fraud that continues is also.

The real question isn't what shall we do, but do we stay.

I regret that I wasn’t out loud clear enough in the vanity - it was written by BlackElk and he gave me permission to post it as a stand alone rant, and also to copy some of his other comments on this thread.

I could never express myself so well or have such cogent thoughts. He’s a league way above me!

What can ordinary citizens who vote do to prevent the atrocity of a white 0bama in Republican drag (stolen from Black Elk) from getting the nomination? I do not believe all these polls and stuff.
