It won’t make any difference to Mr. and Mrs. Average US Voter since it won’t be announced as loudly as they announced Mitt the winner. It’s all about Romney and they’ll do anything to get him the nomination. Crooked politics and crooked msm.

Iowa GOP Chair Matt Strawn is responsible for the ‘tie’ comment. He didn’t mean it literally, explaining now that Santorum won unequivocally. Since no delegates are at stake based on the straw vote, Strawn has been slow to acknowledge how seriously many take it.

It does appear several ‘missing’ precincts were an attempt by Romney supporters to take votes away from Santorum.

The Iowa caucus straw vote does not award ANY delegates, one way or the other.

So Iowa does not have a say in the nomination?

Iowa chooses national convention delegates in June at the state convention. By then, the nominee will almost certainly be known and long-time party regulars will make up most of the delegates.

Affluent party regulars favor Romney, so he will be over-represented if the delegation is split. Assuming Santorum got Huckabee supporters from 2008, he will also be over-represented among national delegates from Iowa. I’d expect Paul to get about half the delegates he’d be entitled to were it actually proportional representation.

“”The Iowa Republican Party has been caught in a lie and with their pants down trying to orchestrate a win for the ‘Establishment’ candidate, Romney. “

Oh that's horsecrap. All the do nothings that never get involved and help with any party events or elections, can sit back and spew this crap.
People that never get involved; sit behind their keyboards and make this this stuff up.

It was a very close race. Reps from all of the candidates were at every place ballots were counted (if they wanted to be).

Having been involved myself; I find it annoying to have outside people with no knowledge of events to somehow say things were were rigged.
That's just garbage.

We knew that night it was a tie essentially; we know now it was essentially a tie.
