What is the role of the modern progressive teacher? Use children effectively in any crisis

Hat Tip to Michigan Capitol Confidential:

Teachers' Union Manual Shows How to Organize Illegal Strikes, Use Children During Bargaining

This is evil, evil stuff. You want to know just how deep down the rathole that the school systems have gone? Take a look inside this crisis manual. On page 17 of the manual(searchable alternative link here) it says "Pick a target - personalize - and polarize the opposition" which is right out of Saul Alinsky.

It was Horace Mann who said it best: We, then, who are engaged in the sacred cause of education, are entitled to look upon all parents as having given hostages to our cause

All answers are in history. Your children are hostages to the Michigan Education Association's cause.

All answers are in history. Your children are hostages to the Michigan Education Association's cause.

Which is exactly why they're fighting the teaching of history prior to the 1960s.

State Rep. Agema wants Michigan to require pledge, teaching of historical U.S. documents

From the looks of it the same tactics are in place among teacher's unions nationwide.

One interesting directive was that they should always travel in groups. That in itself is an Alinsky tactic that is to prevent stragglers from being influenced by the opposition. One of the nice things about being conservative is the fact that I'm free to think on my own.

It's not just the message, or the fact that most teachers and administrators are leftist, but it's the very plan, principles and methods of teaching that are harmful. Creating drones is the least of it.

Sickening - but no surprises here. The Education Schools at U of M, MSU, WSU, ESU, CMU, etc., all need to be investigated and then decertified as the indoctrination programs that they are. Walter Williams covered this situation very well in his column today. The failure of public schools in educating our children is wholly intentional and purposeful from the get-go. I know there are good teachers out there in spite of the system. How does a true Patriot survive as a teacher these days?

Look at the teacher of teachers. None other than William Ayers and Bernadine Dhorn.

You mean, like to protest in Madison, WI or at OWS?

Or just to release their second Chakra? /naughty teacher>

Cheers!

Long time ago Dewey set up the liberal pattern for teacher training and indoctrination. Dumping Phonics and going to “Whole Language” was part of the dumbing down of America as well.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

This is another one of those ping both homeschool lists because it's so bad.

I’m offended that you left WMU off your list of Michigan’s education schools! Bronco’s rule! ;-)
